"An amazing little place that is well worth a vist. We popped in on the off chance and were welcomed by a pleasant young lady who gave us a choice of tables. Thoughout our time there she was polite, helpful and had time to speak to our childen. The menu is excellent with a wide range of items to suit the most basic of pallets (burgers, roasts and steaks) to the more adventurous with Meze on offer and a range of tapas and greek turkish offerings. Being a Sunday we all went for the excellent value set menus with two courses at around £17 18. Our children tried calamari for the first time and also had hallomi. They then had burgers which they devoured and milkshakes they loved so much they won't stop going on about. My partner decided to go for a mushroom pasta dish but forgot to mention her nut allergy. When it arrived at the table it was covered in Pesto. Knowing this was our fault and not that of the restaurant I offered to take it so that she could have my beef roast. This was met by objections by the chef owner who insisted I would have my roast, he would have the pasta and prepare my partner the same dish again with no nuts free of charge. In an age where costs are rising and restaurants are struggling this was second to none service. My roast was excellent. In conclusion if you are in any doubt visit this fantastic little restaurant. Great value, lovely food and the best customer service I have recieved in a long time!"

"Terrible experience here very unfriendly and unprofessional manager/owner. If you have kids under 16 you’re segregated (lunchtime) into a shoddy back room with no atmosphere. When we were overheard discussing this he literally chucked us out the pub!! I know if I’d read this I’d think they must have behaved awfully, but we are a normal family who were only discussing this situation. Never experienced this type of aggression before and never been segregated in a pub with a 12 and 14 year old the whole pub was for eating not just this back room. Landed up at the Queen Victoria and had a delicious lunch and they couldn’t have been more welcoming. So from our experience if you have kids avoid this pub at all costs, my children didn’t need to experience his rude and quite frankly nasty manner he should really advertise this pub as adults only if that’s what he clearly wants."

"Given the recent move into a second lock down we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway. One that hopefully would closely mirror a meal if were were able to go to a restaurant/fine pub to eat. I can honestly say that the food we ordered was fabulous. We ordered both types of meat pies (with veg, chips or mash gravy) , the Lasagne with salad and chips plus the desserts. Service was speedy, safe and friendly. The food was very well packed, still pipping hot by the time I got home and was to the same standard as if we had ate in at the White hart. Brilliant! Fed up with lockdown? Then go order a meal from this place you won't be disappointed. Plus hopefully, we can keep them in business during these dreadful most difficult times."

"This was the first time we have tried this restaurant ordered on line no problem and sent a time for collection and was ready when I arrived I ordered the chillies special with keema rice and prawn on purée to start the chillies special was described you must try this chicken prawns lamb with spicy potato in a sauce finished with spinach and coriander it was more like a lot of spinach with a dash of meat a couple of prawns and little sauce it also didn’t taste good I’m afraid it went in the bin the wife had something different and didn’t find hers too bad but I won’t visit again."

"Telephoned take-away order through for collection and was told it would be 30 minutes. Went to the restaurant only to find that food was not ready. Finally, after 45 minutes, I was given my food. When I got home I could not believe just how poor the food, in particular the chicken biryani, looked. How any chef can send out a biryani with the chicken dry and well overcooked and the rice burnt is beyond me. Absolutely no seasoning whatsoever meant it was totally bland and inedible. The vegetable curry that accompanied the dish was an insult. One piece of potato, one french bean, a few slices of carrot, three pieces of broccoli, that had clearly seen better days, and a few peas in a weak watery sauce with no hint of any spices. Will definitely not be returning to the Elachi after this experience."
