My uncle aunty were working in this hotel N I went to visit them. The place around the hotel Was so peaceful. I never wanted to come back from there. Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet

The staff were attentive and friendly. We mostly saw young families, which was great for us. There was a beautiful selection of meats at the carvery, and plenty of nice options to choose from. Overall, a good value for the money.

Fabulous experience my partner, Brenda Horwood, described it, accurately in my opinion, as faded grandeur . The receptionist/barman (a tall, slim young bloke, on our stay (Mon 6th Nov, last week) was great, hadn 't worked there long, very professional, and friendly. A magnificent old building, in an equally great setting.

We stopped by for a coffee after a delightful Sunday stroll around the Devil's Punchbowl. The coffee was wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable. Nearby activities include a scenic walk around the Devil’s Punchbowl. There’s ample paid parking available, which is free if you’re a National Trust member, along with nearby picnic areas.
