"A very nice menu, the cod was very fresh, with absolutely delicious chips. Personally the mayonnaise was too strong to be served on the plate, I would have appreciated being told, then I could have asked for it on the side. My husband’s steak was very well cooked, attention to detail was second to none. It was a little thin which meant it wasn’t perfect. Again served with delicious chips. We chose an expensive wine as we were celebrating, however it didn’t live up to expectations, it didn’t have the complexity you’d expect at that price. Overall, the restaurant is lovely, a very good experience overall, We will definitely return, and recommend."

It was difficult to decide what to have as every dish that passed our table looked delicious. I opted for the pasta main course which was delicious, perfectly seasoned. The staff were great.

Food was delicious, service was excellent and the wine was perfect. Only downside was it felt a little quiet when we arrived , but it soon picked up and added to the atmosphere! Will 100% return

Definitely the best place to eat in Wells. We have been going there since it opened and have always had excellent food and service. Excellent value and Simon is the ideal host and Nina is the perfect waitress. I had the shrimp linguini which was delicious the only problem is what to try as every dish immediately becomes my favourite. If I lived in Wells I would probably be there every day that they are open.

Nice. Interior is elegant and great contemporary but conscious of the history of the building. Sweet service from a young lady ..keen and accurate. We felt the place was rather let down by a scruffily dressed older waiter devoid of charm or smiles who looked like he would rather be somewhere else. The celeriac and truffle soup was outstanding, the pappardelle dish less so little basil flavour and gigantic portions. Not a bad place.
