"the restaurant juan brown is a key place for the gastronomy of the Almeria. In particular today we will try your special tasting menu for your anniversary, a menu that makes a tour of the most emblematic dishes of the cuisine of the chef juan brown. the philosophy of the restaurant is very linked with the traditional Almeriense cuisine with the product of proximity thanks to the marvellous garrucha lonja but always without giving up other products from other places both of spain and of the world. the proposal of brown juan is a traditional, classic kitchen, with avant-garde touches. a restaurant recommended by the guide repsol and belonging to the bib gourmand of the guide michelín. Autumn orchard: this colorful dish is a puerro cream with peas, brocoli, cherry tomatoes, carrots, asparagus and pumpkin our ecological bench: a very curious dish with surprise in the form of trapntojo. inspired by a vegetable garden, the land is made with rye bread, hence its color, tomatoes are branded cod and accompanied by yuca chips. garrucha (from the shrimp to the mustaches:) one of the Almeriens gastronomic jewels, the famous red garrucha shrimps, cooked so that you can eat with peel and everything. not only of the pig takes advantage of all seasonal fish with vegetables: fish with a leap of vegetables from the vegetable garden. Looks like almost a dish of meat for the color and marking of the fish. "Reservamos a lo largo de la mañana a través del chat de Google. Buscábamos algún sitio en el que te vayan a tratar bien, el producto sea bueno. De hecho pedimos en vez de la fritura que si podía ser el mismo producto en parrillada. Ensalada, 2 parrilladas con muy buen pescado, boquerones y mejillones, todo increíble. Nos lo pusieron todo bastante rápido, con una gran calidad de producto y precio muy bueno. Fueron 30€ cabeza 4 aproximadamente. Incluido una botella de vino, una botella de agua, 3 postres y 2 cafés. El trato muy personal y el servicio muy bueno y amable, cosa que se agradece. Volveremos en el futuro sin duda."

"After reading the TA reviews we were excited about our visit When I rang for a reservation I asked for 9pm and was told only 8.30 was available which was fine , we arrived to an empty restaurant and after a 5 min walk around we found someone to seat us we were in fact the only dinners that evening ? We were really looking forward to their signature dish of Lobster with rice but we were told you have to phone and order in advance for rice dishes ??? never said that in reviews or on their web site) Anyway our first choices for starters were not available but the fried octopus I had was good The mains were a bit hit and miss because we really wanted fish as the lobster and rice was off . My wife chose the last portion of Turbot and that only left Tuna , nothing else available unless we wanted Monk fish but we both had to have it ? In the end I had a Sirloin Steak which was ok ish So generally not great £80 euros later and feeling the reviews were misleading , perhaps we went on a bad night ? I think we will spend our euros somewhere else in future"

"We ordered the rice with lobster and it was regular, I've had better, it didn't have much flavor. The very rich octopus leg. I don't think it will repeat. In rice dishes I have a very high bar and this one did not meet expectations, despite the positive evaluations by which I was guided, I am disappointed. Service: Dine in"

"Un restaurante en la carretera de Vera Playa a Villaricos con un muy buen aparcamiento en el que caben coches y autocaravanas,el menú del fin de semana a 15,50€ bastante bueno,dos platos a elegir con pan y postre,la bebida aparte pero a unos precios razonables, el arroz espectacular de bueno, en su punto justo,paramos un sábado y repetimos 15 días después, además puedes encargar la comida y recogerla para comerla en donde te apetezca,de aquí en adelante va a ser uno de nuestros restaurantes fijos cuando estemos por Vera o Mojácar."
