Ekte Nordic Kitchen

A great venue with very engaging staff and an authentic Nordic feel. The set lunch was very good value and showed some great touches in the dishes and preparation. Looking forward to returning and would definitely recommend.

Loved the food and service was impeccable! It was my birthday and the manager was lovely and attentive- he even got me one of their chocolate desserts with a little candle. It’s such a thoughtful touch that made my night. I’d definitely visit again.

The food selection at Ekte is stunning, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. My friend and I dined in the main area and enjoyed a glass of white wine from the menu, which was a rich Italian peach variety. The service was smooth and professional. Ekte is honestly such a great find. The food is just the right balance of simple and out-of-the-ordinary, and the ingredients they use are clearly the cream of the crop. The portion sizes are really satisfying as well which I find quite rare in London for this kind of quality. And the service was spotless as well, not at all overbearing and super thoughtful!

eating was excellent, but it was clear that many had canceled their reservations. my only problem is with the fork, which accepted my change of time from 12.30 to 13.00, but the restaurant did not inform. If they were busy, we might have lost the booking. So instead of sending me 17 emails about my upcoming reservation, they do their job that is not difficult.

my first time to visit this restaurant and I want to return definitiw! we sat on the terrace and it was very easy to book the room. the communication with the restaurant was great before our arrival. the service was a little slow after we were there. but eating is more than for them. I had the chicken salad opened sandwich (the crispy chicken skin garnish way so yummy! as well as the emptying shell. highly recommended! Voir le carte

The dining experience was not bad, but it was certainly unusual. I ordered a burger that had a fancy presentation but was rather overpriced, especially considering the quality. For dessert, we were served three of the tiniest tarts I’ve ever seen, for £4.50—almost like something from a dollhouse! They also don’t accept cash, which was a surprise since they didn’t mention it until it was time to pay. The staff seemed taken aback when we pointed it out. Additionally, the coffee was served in uninsulated cups without handles, so it was quite challenging to hold; one might even consider using asbestos gloves! quite good nordic food here at ekte, the curried hering smørrebrød was delicious and fresh, but a little on the sweeter side for our lust, so it could not really finish. the mushrooms and sourded toast tasted well with a generous help of various mushrooms, it found tad bit fat as it had been cooked and could probably season with a bit more (which is just a personal preference). the rice pudding with cherry-comonate was delicious and very comforting to eat. prices vs what they get is ok, a bit on the pricier side, but the quality is good and they have a delicious meal, no matter what they get, could only do with a few tweaks here and there. personal and service was great and could not fail to...

The main courses arrived before we finished our starters, and at 8:50 PM, we were informed that the bar was closing soon, which put a damper on our evening. The restaurant was set to close at 10:30 PM, yet we felt rushed to finish our meal. When we asked for dessert after the bill was presented, they told us it was too late and turned off the lights in the restaurant, even though it wasn’t yet 10:30 PM. I expressed to the waitress that I had never felt so hurried in any restaurant before.
