".... 27.10.2012 ..... A beautiful location in direct proximity to the Moselle. Nice ambience, not exceptional but appealing. Operation very friendly and fast. The portions are quite large. Here you can settle well and enjoy the view of the Moselle. 28.10.2012... Today we were once again here... have drunk a beer that was well cooled and eaten a carving with mushrooms and pommes ... was actually delicious .... Service nice and also quite fast .... the food came fast, but not too fast on the table, even though unfortunately there is no real carving you always hear that someone knocks meat in the kitchen? ...maybe the steak...maybe already be ...but the scavenger, was just the moulded meat offered almost everywhere ....too bad ....it would also have been too nice for over 10.00 euros ........13.04.2013... once again coughed in to warm up something and order a delicious cappuccino... here we are happy, because this is a nice restaurant ...."

"the crowning conclusion of a beautiful moselsteig hike! we had reserved in time and for us all (8 people) we had already ordered the early summer menu reduced to 3 channels and - everything was perfect! a tasteful greeting from the kitchen, then the balanced curry ginger foam. as the main course the really excellent lamb back in a brothlike had the nose at the front of the edelfischspieß. very tasty also the homemade. the accompanying weeping of the big wine card were perfectly matched to the food selection. Overall, everything was really right - extremely friendly and competent, but at the same time also pleasantly intrusive, we are happy to come back!"

"Our December visit to Bernkastel was cold, but so it should be in winter. The Christmas market is clear and nice. A little warming could not hurt. So go straight to the well maintained Café Thiesen with well-stocked cake counter in the late afternoon. Café is understatement. The tables nicely covered with strengthened table cloths, the division of tables harmoniously. A large guest room is divided into nice plots, so there was also a certain privacy. Parking “before the door” can be forgotten here, but in the vicinity there is certainly always a place for the vehicle. Probably the boss greeted us nicely and gave us a Christmasly decorated 2 table. Something sweet could be, dinner was at the hotel later. The warm evening dishes served at the side tables looked very good. My husband ordered a cup of coffee to € 2.10 and I a glass, 0.2 l, fine Riesling (almost in short vacation) to € 3.50. The apple sauce with vanilla ice cream and cream at € 3.70 was served shortly later and tasted great. The strudel is delivered by the local confectionery, as and the boss reported. The finesse: At the bottom a grape vinegar that does not pass through and on top gold-yellow crispy foliage. I have never eaten this before, is also not original, but a great and tasty idea. In between a fine juicy apple filling. Applestrudel with vanilla ice cream Served on black 80s cellar with decorative powder sugar pollination. Very fine and the portion larger than it acts on the photo. We've been nice with a little chat. Here I would like to order a “right” meal next time. A really good impression, the Thiesen!"

"an impressive collection of beautiful old cars, all in a very good condition. someone has done a lot of effort and found time to do all this. definitiw is worth a trip and the entry of 15€ is also justified. the museum is connected via several apartments with a chair and a staircase. they can really take time to look at everything in peace. also the renovated facades of the 60s, 70s and 80s have been made very good, including the facilities. also the employees at the checkout/info are very friendly and have good English skills, where they are well understood as a foreign language. for lovers of old cars and motorcycles, the cylinder house in Bernkastel-Kues is a must and is worth a longer trip."

"Fantastisk mad, rigeligt og veltillavet. Rigtig god betjening. Vi valgte en ret bestående af forskellige tandorri tilberedte retter af kylling og lam. Ris og nan indkluderet i prisen. Den eneste grund til, at vi ikke giver 5 stjerner, er at menukortene er slidte. Kan varmt anbefale stedet."
