"this place that is located behind the clayton street could easily be missed, but they should not if they can help it. I was flown out of the cold north wind and received the warmest greetings from manager and chef alike. the cozy atmosphere adapted to the recently renovated reception, there are sniffing stands, a restaurant area and a winter garden that leads to a bright beer garden. the food was delicious snuggles in a creamy sauce, freshly baked roasted brot and home cooked pfefferfries and a huge winter sleep loaded portion it was also. this place is one of these hidden gems, of which someone else usually tells me, but this time I am gifted to them."

This pub is great, it serves amazing food and drinks. The staff are all really friendly and the acoustic nights provide a great atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back and would definitely recommend to anyone Voir le carte

Fantastic pub food a very reasonable prices. Beer well kept and plenty of choice. Staff extremely helpful without being overly so. Open mic session on Sunday night was unexpected but really good, free entertainment. What's not to like?

Sunday lunch was great! Recommend getting the pork but everything comes with 2 Yorkshire’s, so you’re laughing either way. Good range of beers, great service and the pub has been done to be a lot more comfortable than it was before these guys got their hands on it.

Sadly this place has gone really down hill. Food was terrible, we had to send it back. White wine was warm, their answer was to load it with ice which just watered it down! When we complained it made no difference and we were just handed the bill!! We use to go here weekly but now wouldn’t go back again as the last few times have been awful! Voir le carte

Me and my boyfriend have just came back home from an amazing meal at the dun cow, we were the first to try out the new menu and were more than impressed. The food was absolutely outstanding. We ordered a sharing board and every piece of steak was cooked perfectly. The service was lovely too, very friendly, approachable staff, we'll definitely be returning here!

we just pulled into the opposite and we're here a few times! we also brought friends family. food quality, generous portions, vegetarian options that are tasty and I think they are more in short. I also asked vegan options. the manager and the staff are very beautiful and attentive. it is in a cute location next to brandling park and her vegetarian nut roast dinner on Sundays is great. the atmosphere is friendly when they have a dog, they have a section for people with dogs, but I never see him overflowing with them. it is a big place and they can sit very happy without being around them. it is all around a good pub with great food and service.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
