"I went to the Duke with my parents today for a roast. Firstly have to say we had a warm welcome and the pub has a lovely warm atmosphere. We each ordered a different meat roast and unfortunately were all a little disappointed. Now to be fair, we didn’t complain and we did eat it but I wouldn’t recommend. The turkey was cold, the rest of the meal was a decent temperature but I would’ve preferred the meat to at least be warm. The pigs in blankets were dried out and tough and the stuffing was so disappointing. It was the size of a postage stamp (this is not an exaggeration) and was rock hard. It’s a shame as I really wanted to like it. The desserts were nice but for the price, I won’t be going back on a Sunday any time soon. Just all in all a little disappointing and distinctly average on the food."

I visited your pub a few months back. It was two of us and we ordered a couple of drinks and some snacks from the bar. I ordered a pint of ale for myself. As I got to the table, after a few minutes it remained cloudy. I tried it and it was flat and tasteless. I went to the bar and explained to the staff about this situation. In the end I had to buy a new pint of lager. It's not exactly the best experience.

The only downside was, the sharers we ordered, came on one big metal plate,chicken strips and chips,i would've appreciated of they came a bit more organise to go on 2 3 tables,so can everyone help themselves, instead of going to fix a plate.But other than that everything was ok,plenty space for car park, playground for kids, nice atmosphere inside,the staff was very nice. Definitely going back. Thank you very much for a nice baby shower. Parking: Make sure to register inside the pub your reg plate and you get 24h free Kid-friendliness: Playground for kids,not massive but decent.
