A really nice pub with great food and drinks, and very friendly staff recommend this spot as a cozy, classic London pub.

Great evening, good food and wonderful staff… we celebrated the World Cup and the staff were so helpful polite and friendly.

Had a cold sticky toffee pudding and I’m sure it has been in the freezer for some time. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips hence the 3 star rating No ambience whatsoever Voir le carte

The staff is incredibly attentive and the food is excellent! The pub is really comfortable and welcoming, with a calm and chilled atmosphere that sets it apart from the crowded pubs in the busy area. Thank you so much. I highly recommend trying the Curried Lamb pie - I loved it!

The Sunday roast (mine was pork) was tasty but let down by poorly cooked roast potatoes with no crackling with the pork, other than a leathery looking bit of pork skin. The beef was beautifully cooked, along with delicious Yorkshire puddings. The manageress lacked any genuine hospitality and looked like she wanted to be somewhere else.

Atmosphere was nice; authentic London pub. We sat down for dinner and the food was …. bland… no other way to describe it; sorry. Three of us ordered Lamb Shoulder with Saffron risotto. It felt like we got a little bit of Pork Carnitas and the risotto felt like just saffron rice but not the creaminess and flavor you would expect from risotto. Overall, good ambiance, mediocre food. The beer at this restaurant is decent, although served a bit too cold. I tried the bruschetta and garlic bread and was quite disappointed. The bruschetta consisted of a slice of bread topped with two ice-cold tomatoes chopped into eight pieces each, along with some onion, a few drops of oil, and basil. It looked more like a mistake than a carefully prepared dish. The garlic bread was two hard, dry slices of the same bread, with garlic served in a pot with butter for you to spread yourself - a unique presentation. Overall, I would recommend sticking with a cold lager and crisps at this otherwise nice pub.

We popped along to The Clarence to watch the Women’s World Cup final before an afternoon at the Museums. Overall a good/average experience but would likely find another pub before rushing back to this one. We had reserved a table to watch the football, this has not been marked on the tables so the staff had to ask another couple to move. Good for us, but the couple that moved pointed out there was no reserved sign which is why they sat there. We had some **** Mary’s which were very good! And later on ordered some food, the hummus/dips sharer and potted crab. The hummus/dips were nice but not enough crudites/bread (they kindly bought some more out). This restaurant experience was very disappointing. I had checked before booking on a Sunday evening to confirm if they were still serving Sunday roast options, and was told they were. However, upon arriving at 7:15 pm, we were informed that all roast beef, chicken, and pork options were unavailable. We settled for items from the main menu instead. One guest received a paltry portion of soup, only a third of a bowl, with no spoon. Despite asking the staff twice for a spoon, we were told they do not fill the bowl to the top, which was not what we had asked.
