"We took a while to find this place intending to visit the actual beach. However it was so windy I at least didn’t have the footwear we decided to have a drink in the bar then head back to mainland. I got the impression that the owners ?? new) were renovating their accommodation especially. Anyway we had a warm welcome from staff, ordered our drinks double Bacardi Diet Coke for me) a lager for hubby. Prices were very reasonable. We sat in the conservatory area then outside with view of golf course). Although we didn’t eat there the smell from the kitchen was appetising menu prices were very reasonable compared to other places. Have to comment about the road signs in Anglesey generally as they are very confusing even with google maps. Although we knew which road to take we kept ending up being directed back to where we had come from. In end we decided to head for Ferry port take things from there"

I cannot comment on the food as I did not eat here but the lager was cold, the wine was decent and the staff friendly. A good place to watch the match and relax. The bar area seemed pet friendly as well.

We weren't sure what to expect as the restaurant attached to a motel looks quite basic. However the service and food were excellent. We did the Thursday night quiz which was a good mix of questions. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

What a great place to stay and eat. A long weekend away with friends and the welcome and service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. They even sorted out evening meals for over 20 with less than 24 hours notice. Will certainly visit again. Thank you.

The Christmas food at this restaurant was average. I would not recommend ordering the stuffing, as it was extremely large and resembled a scotch egg, but was inedible. The venue was fun and the wine was reasonably priced. However, be cautious of the wobbly chairs. Surprisingly, they do serve a good pint of bitter, which is uncommon for Trearddur Bay.

It took a second or two to realise the veg was in front of the meat, rather than after, as I am used to elsewhere. This does slightly slow down filling your plate, but not really a problem as you are likely to be there with friends. Basically I loved it. Everything was as it should be. I can see this becoming the default Sunday lunch when we are in the vicinity

We had been here several time a couple of years ago and been quite happy. We booked a table for 2 in advance for Thursday evening. When we arrived we found there was a function in progress which was very noisy with a large number of children present. We were given a table in the bar right outside the toilet,. certainly not what we expected. The food was no where near of the standard or quality we received in the past. Everything seemed rushed. Had we been made aware that this was going on we would not have booked and regret that we actually stayed and honoured our booking

We arrived at the Driftwood today for sunday lunch. The staff so friendly very helpful. We were seen to as soon as we sat down. We made our way to the carvery, excellent choice... So many different meats vegetables. The chef was so helpful friendly too. I am very fussy about sunday lunch so i was so glad to be so impressed with the quality of the food. Very hot, meats were so tender, beautiful veg. I would highly recommend a sunday roast here, it was the best now my go to place for a sunday lunch. Please try it, you won't be dissapointed. Thanks everyone for delivering great service quality food.

One person ordered the children's jacket potato with beans and cheese, but sent it back because the beans were cold. The steak and ale pie that three of us ordered was disappointing - it had lots of gravy, hardly any meat, and the meat was fatty. All three pies had a massive dry pastry lid. One person had celiac disease and asked the waiter about gluten-free options. The waiter initially said the curry and steak and ale pie were gluten-free if the pastry was left off, but after a lady clarified that they were not actually gluten-free, they offered to grill some chicken, potatoes, and vegetables as an alternative. It was disappointing that there wasn't at least one gluten-free option availabl...

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
