Lovely pub, great staff and service with great value food and drink the location is amazing with fantastic views . Have visited many times and will continue to do so.

The perfect spot for a drink and some decent pub grub. We love the Dovey the staff are always welcoming and friendly and the food is good. Quiz night is always a good laugh.

We wanted some lunch ordered drinks and meal sat down waited almost an hour for food and the ladies on table next to us waited the same a older lady had no drink as bar staff said didn’t have time to make cup of tea so will not be eating there again Voir le carte

The Dovey offers excellent food, and I highly recommend the Mac and Cheese - you can't go wrong with it! The atmosphere in the restaurant is the best in the business. Shoutout to quizmaster Dave for providing an elite experience. I give it a 10 out of 10!

Good location...dog friendly inside out. Food we had was ok...gf choices available staff were helpful. Great quiz on Thursday night. Just disappointed that the place needed a really good clean... the toilets were dirty. Shame as just need to up their game on the cleanliness.

We have just moved into Aberdyfi and found this gem of a pub. The staff were brilliant and informed us that because of a big party there could be a delay in getting our meals. Whilst waiting we enjoyed a drink of Martsens Pedigree which was brilliant, the atomsphere was relaxing and we watched some people play monopoly ! Our meal arrived, much quicker than expected and was delicious I had the mixed grill and my wife had the vegetarian Chiili we both sampled each others food and were impressed by the taste and quality especially for the very reasonable price. After enjoying a pleasant morning in Aberdovey, we decided to have lunch at the Dovey Inn. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was not as enjoyable. Despite waiting at the bar for over 15 minutes, we were told that we needed to use a QR code on our outdoor table to place our food order. Since our dog was not allowed inside, we were seated outside and were unable to order food directly at the bar. Despite offering to pay upfront, we were informed that all outdoor food orders had to be placed through the restaurant's app. As we did not have our mobile phones with us after a day at the beach, we left the restaurant without enjoying any food or drinks. Overall, it was a disappointing...

My friend, who lives here locally I popped in here one wet dreary Sunday afternoon recently. It was dreary outside and not that much better inside. The guy behind the bar seemed rather bored but was civil enough and took our orders of a couple of beers. Another guy working there (the owner or manager? who my friend apparently knew came past us but made no real attempt to engage in any friendly banter. His lugging stuff around the pub seemed to be his priority. There were some vestiges of some sad looking Christmas decorations on one wobbly table. The guy behind the bar sighed that they had been put up at the insistence of the brewery. Anyway, we supped on our beers, and watched one of the TV...

Meals were great quality and plate filling. My gammon was amazing as were the pies and the scampi which the others had. The menu had a great range of meals and at very reasonable prices. The place was really busy. We were lucky to get a table and we were informed on ordering about the delay, which wasn't a problem, but was appreciated. The Dovey has a great range of drinks especially gins but also beers the Reverend James was my favourite. The manager certainly knows how to look after his cask ales. The manager Dave, I think, was rushed off his feet but always cheery and had time to speak to everyone and check on diners. Indeed, all of the staff were courteous and helpful. There was a good m...
