next to the cathedrale I find this small restaurant very old and has a fabulous terrace. normal prices.

Incredibly beautiful view from the outdoor terrace over the old town with the red roofs. The 1/2 duck was super delicious.

We had lunch here. The soup comes in standard (a good portion) or terrine with free refills (huge). You can sit on the terrace on the edge of the castle and look over the old town. Voir le carte

Service und Essen auf hohen Niveau. Ambiente historisch. Lokales Meißner Bier vom Fass. Auch Verganer sind hier gut bedient. Die Terrasse mit Blick auf Meissen ist einen Besuch Wert.

Es hat Riesenspaß gemacht! Tolles Essen und eine grandiose Bedienung, die uns auch über die Geschichte dieses ältesten Restaurant in Meißen informiert haben. Sehr sehr empfehlenswert!

Im Rahmen unserer 70. bzw. 75. Geburtstagsfeier in Meißen, waren wir im Domkeller am 26. 07. 24, mit 14 Personen unserer Familie zum Abendessen! Tolles, lecker zubereitetes Essen, sehr aufmerksame, freundliche und professionelle Bedienung, sowie ein atemberaubender Ausblick vom Balkon über die Altstadt bis hin zur Elbe! Well-being atmosphere. Nice, friendly, attentive and courteous service that has a look at when what is needed. Very delicious food which was served quite quickly after ordering. The only point: you don't get what you ordered. For example, the mushrooms have been missed at the ordered noodles with basil umpesto and mushrooms and instead was brought with carrots and other vegetables. All in all, however, delicious and sufficient. View from the heated panoramic terrace absolutely worth seeing!

After a long journey, we longed for something decoy and a good beer, and the Domkeller exceeded our expectations. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed traditional, homemade foods that were prepared just like Mama. The beef roulade with red cabbage and wrapped closs as well as the Dresdner Sauerbraten were delicious and were perfectly rounded with a cloudy Meißner beer. The dessert, which was probably prepared according to a recipe from the grandmother, is particularly noteworthy: a spicy pudding with poppy and a caramelized layer, served with hot chocolate chicks. A true palate! The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful and invites you to stay. We were completely satisfied...

actually, eating in the domkeller was so banal that you should go tacitly over it and at best mention the promisingly commendable. Now this restaurant is, however, depending on the reviews that nr. 2 in meißen. and that is really not comprehensible for us. from the point of view I already said, the service does what the average motivated waitress should achieve as a minimum goal: bring out food, smile, routinet also at the somewhat more intense visit margin at this day. from the two ordered dresses was the gulasch in the brotkruste already, you cannot express it more friendly: little tasty and especially very, very, very may be that the meat juice was almost completely the flucht in the brot...
