"The food here is amazing and the service is excellent. We booked the night before and were given a very comfortable seat in the window. As there were five of us eating we ordered many of the Tapas dishes on the menu and enjoyed all of them. The croquettes (on special) were particularly good and we also liked the lamb filo parcels. They were very busy and fully booked but the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed. We also enjoyed a selection of delicious cheesecakes for dessert. (we all had a different one: passion fruit, almond, malteser and biscotti). We would definitely come back here next time we are passing through."

"Lovely location, good beer and interior but the nut roast Sunday lunch option was very disappointing basically a gloopy brown coloured rice mixture shoved in a mould a with a few pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries on top to give the appearance of a nut roast. If there were any nuts in it, I couldn't detect any. The gravy had the uniform colour and flavour of granules too and the veg was average. Cheap ingredients and terrible value at around £16 a pop, for what was essentially a bit of rice and veg. The other diners I was with were fairly happy with their meals, but no one was bowled over. We went because the reviews were pretty good maybe their usual chef was off."

"If you are anywhere near this place chances are it’s the best pizza you’ll find for many many miles, this is the real deal! Firstly the building is cool, with nice views, very friendly staff and dog friendly downstairs (they even gave our boy a pigs ear)! I own a mobile pizza business and can say this pizza is really strong, delicious and they best you’ll find by far in the area. If you are anywhere near here you have no excuse not to stop by! "My expectations of this establishment have been dashed this evening.Mediocre steak. Poor service.When my meal arrived i was told my side order wasn 't available and I was asked if i would like something else instead but declined as my meal would probably be eaten by the time i received it.Payment was cash only and I was actually asked 'would i like my change? When presenting £40 for a £33 bill. How rude!!!! I always leave a gratuity wherever I go and even after all my comments tonight was no exception.Update following owners response:I think the best course of action would have been to let me know as soon as you ran out of spinach so that I could have made a second choice prior to my meal being served. So NO I didn 't 'expect you to pull it out of your arse ' as you so rudely suggested.As for the member of staff. There were two young girls waiting on tables who looked very similar so couldn 't tell you which.I suggest instead of wasting your energy verbally abusing anyone who dares to give a valid review. You would be better focusing on training your staff in customer service etiquette and learning how to run a business efficiently.Show quoted text"

"What a find, lovely quant pub. Stopped for food when passing through on way home from Barmouth and did not disappoint. Had the pie of the day which was minted lamb. Came with a choose of chips or mash and a generous side of mixed veg, which consisted of carrots cauliflower beans braised red cabbage courgettes and sprouts. Would recommend to anyone and we will be back for more."
