We were recommended this place by a colleague and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent. The fish Bhaji was delicious. The service was impeccable. Everything was reasonably priced. I cannot wait to have this again.

I understand the service issues that some people have mentioned, but I think it may be a generational thing. The maitre d' here seems to be old school and focused on running a tight ship, perhaps not accustomed to modern sensibilities. This restaurant is like a hedgehog: tough on the outside but delightful once you get past that. The food wasn't very spicy, so you may need to ask for extra heat if you prefer. Everything had a hint of sweetness to it. The Dipali Boti Puri starter had tender and flavorful meat. The portions are generous, especially the biryani which is enough for two people. If you want to pay a 15% Service charge then visit this restaurant. It is important to note that this information is on their menu (but doesn’t stand out) and it wasn’t mentioned when we ordered. While discussing this point with the manager. It was clear that he had no interest in taking our viewpoint on board he actually suggested us having a takeaway instead next time! Such a shame that this very poor customer service has now lost them two customers. We have been here before (a few times) and never had this problem.
