"Disappointing! Inspired by the positive reviews, we ate at da Sergio. Reserved online and even had it confirmed again by phone, but in the end we got there and, contrary to our express wishes and confirmation, were seated in the darkest corner for the table we wanted, even though we wanted to celebrate a special occasion. Our table simply wasn't reserved, we were told we were unlucky. In addition to this unsympathetic place, there were dirty cutlery and the plates didn't have the ingredients that were on the menu, half of the vegetables etc. were missing, instead you found things that weren't on the menu. Taste is a matter of opinion, but 100 cloves of garlic are no substitute for a lack of seasoning, simply put together carelessly. Unfortunately, the dessert also flopped, one even tasted as if an ingredient had gone sour or was simply no longer edible. Two of our guests actually had “problems” after eating. In my opinion you shouldn't confuse the 5 star location with the quality of the food, because that definitely seems to depend on the day or the chef! We won't be coming back to eat, except for a bottled drink in the outdoor area in the summer, because it's worth a visit. It's a shame Sergio, we had hoped for more."

I had the pleasure of dining at Da Sergio in Emden recently and I have nothing but positive things to say. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a leisurely dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. What was particularly impressive was the excellent advice on the wine selection, which went perfectly with our dishes. The food itself was simply outstanding. Every dish was freshly prepared and tasted to the point. The pizza had a wonderfully crispy base and rich toppings, while the pasta was al dente and served with a delicious sauce. I can highly recommend Da Sergio and am already looking forward to my next visit!
