"Not fancy or elegant, but a warm comfortable neighborhood place. No menu or prices in sight, but we trusted the staff and were not disappointed. My appetizer was a plate of mixed cold fish (an assortment of 6 different fish preparations all excellent).. my wife had 2 different types of breaded scallops which she rated very good My pasta was crab stuffed ravioli topped w/ shrimp which were very similar to rock shrimp. Solid, but not the best I've ever had. My wife had excellent linguine w/ clams. We then split a mixed grill again an assortment of 5-6 different fish. All simple, fresh and pleasant. Nothing rocked my world, but it was all quite good. Don't bother with a wine menu. I doubt there is one, and the tocai on tap was a pleasant surprised. No Illy was the only real surprise."

I love this place, the staff are lovely, the food is to die for and the wine assortment is perfect. Massimo cooks locally caught fish there. My favorite dishes are, the sardoni alla Massimo, the cozze, the shellfish pasta and the mixed fry which is light and cooked to perfection. It is without a doubt the best place where you can eat fish in Trieste!
