"Invented in 1949 as a snack for the new post-war working class that needed carbohydrates and fats to lift the new Germany, quickly became a popular meal and was one of the first types of fast food that were known. It consists of a fried sausage or plate cut into small pieces accompanied by a powdered tomato sauce with curry and many fries. It can be ordered with or without skin and is usually served on a paper plate with a plastic fork. It can be found all over Berlin, but the most famous are certainly those of this small restaurant that is little more than bars that give to the street and tables on the sidewalk, without chairs. The waiters attend quickly and diligently and on the bar are the different types of sausages that serve, a wide variety of sauces and other meals of the same kind, such as hot dogs or burgers. Fame has made them raise their prices a little, but it is still worth trying them out."
