"We organized a party for about 30 to 40 people, but unfortunately, there weren't enough staff members to accommodate us. The hosts ended up having to retrieve their own meals, and guests were seen collecting glasses themselves."

I didn't stay at the restaurant, but I did have a meal there. As for the food and drinks, I ordered the broccoli cream cheese bake, but it was mostly cauliflower instead of broccoli. The homemade chips were disappointing—mostly small, hard pieces, and I think I only got two proper-sized chips.

What an unexpected great find in the middle of suburbia and would be a great base for exploring Western Lakeland if you wanted somewhere to stay. Put at ease as soon as I saw the 3 Thwaites ales on sale my small batch brew was so fresh almost worth staying for a 2nd . Would certainly call again if ever in the vicinity. Voir le carte

Had food here as we were staying the night, there was a function on which is fine! However the waitresses were rushed off their feet as one of the staff members had called in sick made worse by the fact what seemed to be the owner just sat on the sofa watching rugby whilst 2 members of staff rushed around! Not been for years I used to live 50m away and spent a great deal of time in there. Still a very nice pub, comfortable and clean. They had run out of the original Thwaites beer which was always kept perfect back in the 80s and 90s so was a little disappointed to have not tried it again. Food drinks: Beer was good apart from not having original best bitter available. Rooms: 4

only review I have ever written, but I loved this little place! She stayed for work. the room was nice and the staff can not do enough to make them feel welcome and eating in the pub was great and good worth I fought to spend my cost supplement had a very small problem with a leak in the room (not bothered me, but recommended above all how it was on electros dripping) renter john was here in half an hour to take a look back and do a speed repair!
