"We were very keen to support our local Little Bean cafe when they launched their American themed evening, offering 'mini burgers and ribs platters '. The offer was accompanied by a photograph of a mixed platter of ribs and burgers, which unfortunately bore no resemblance to what was served. The platters weren 't actually a combination of mini burgers and ribs as portrayed, although they were indeed 'mini '! The burger platter consisted of a lukewarm, toddler sized burger in a cold bun, with some grated cheese on the side if required, while the ribs platter consisted of 4 tiny, lukewarm half ribs. Each dish was accompanied by some limp, undercooked fries and a tiny portion of salad. The pudding was tasty, but again the portions were miniscule literally a mouthful each of cheesecake and brownie with a strawberry cut in half. Even taking into account the one free drink per person, £20 per head was overpriced for what was, in reality, a child 's meal. Unfortunately we 've decided not to support the future 'Asian fusion ' evening as we 'd planned."

"Wonderful food and friendly attentive staff. Highly recomended for a romantic meal or just a night out 10/10 I've been back here with my wife and friends for an evening out after returning home from an extended stay abroad due to covid. It was better than I remembered. The people remembered us and were very warm and welcoming. We treated like family. Our food was mouthwateringly good and plentiful. We love our time away but look forward to coming back for our nights out and fabulous meals here in River Moon. If I could I would score it 6 stars. Try it for yourself"

"I cannot speak highly enough of The Crown Inn. It's always difficult finding somewhere to eat when you are a vegan. I had been recommended The Crown Inn by another vegan, so thought we would give it a try. I called and spoke to the lovely son, who was so helpful and accommodating. I thought the vegetable pie was vegan but was told it's vegetarian, however I was immediately told that he was sure that they could do it as a vegan pie. Anyway, yesterday the lovely chef (landlord) made a vegan pie especially for me. It was the best pie I had ever had. I was so touched that a pub would go out of their way to do this for me. Many pubs seem to think us vegans are nothing but a pain and if they do do something vegan, it is so spicy you can't taste anything else. Besides the lovely meal we were made so welcome by all the staff. It is a family run pub..... and what a lovely family they are. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for the lovely meal. Denise and Roger Vegetarian options: It was the vegan options that I was interested in. There is a great choice and they even do vegan garlic bread"

"That’s it we’ve given up!When Gemma had this lovely tearoom it was absolutely spotless, warm,fresh and cozy.Sadly today it has become grubby, cold,soulless,and the portion sizes have halved for twice the money.Staff evidently didn’t want to be there with the vibes passed to the customers well us and one other table on a mid afternoon Saturday).Gemmas cakes were mouthwateringly fresh, today’s were stale and old."

"My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a birthday getaway and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The service was impeccable, with the staff being extremely polite, accommodating, and helpful. Our room was gorgeous and tranquil. We dined in the restaurant for my birthday meal, and the food and service were excellent. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We decided to have the cooked breakfast, which was an extra cost as the continental breakfast was included in the price, and once again the food was cooked perfectly. This hotel is a great choice for a high-quality getaway, and we will definitely be returning in the future to dine in the restaurant for a lovely evening meal. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-maintained. The food and drinks offered a fantastic variety and were cooked to perfection."
