We visited The Cottage for the first time for Saturday lunch, and have decided that we will definately be back. The grounds were lovely (the weather was nice for once so we sat outside), the bar and separate conservatory were nice, and the aviary/rabbit hutch near the summerhouse was a nice touch! The lunchtime menu had a good choice of snacks and mains, the staff were friendly, and the food was extremely tasty. Have already booked to go back for a birthday meal.

I have to say that we have been destroyed together in the work of the young waitress, who was ghastly. I had hoped it was only a bad day and returned for a second time, but during this visit they had escaped from the venerable, but most disappointing the attitude and the service of the young waitress had not improved. very disappointed, we will not return.

we were tired and hungry and followed a road sign for the cottage restaurant. we missed the restaurant entrance and landed in a residential property, but we persisted and discovered a little gem. we parked the car, then the slope went to the restaurant, past chickens (same breed in dressing cabins. the piste could be a problem for wheelchairs, but it is a way, so I think that temporary access could be granted to car owners. the restaurant was bigger than expected. it looked clean and comfortable, and we sat in the winter garden (no blinds, quite hot in the sun) and looked over more arduous with twakens, buds and kanaria. This small restaurant is situated just outside Dingwall, perhaps a five minute drive. It is worth getting to though, as the food is of a high standard. It is a restaurant and bar, although the bar does not take away from the dining experience you would not even notice it's there. There is also a separate dining area too, so you do not even have to be in view of the bar for those who prefer it a bit more quiet. The prices are very reasonable for this type of formal restaurant, and the food is delicious.
