Columbus Plaza - Menu

This restaurant is in a very good location. The service is friendly, but the food is getting ridiculous for Spanish prices. The ice cream portions cost €8.95. There are no locals in the restaurant, which is not a good sign.

eaten at the outdoor tables, although a visit inside (typically Iberian) deserves. abundant portions, typical canary potatoes with sauces, sardines, tortillas, kind waiters and honest prices (until natural water at more than three euros)

excellent deal on the part of the waiter who held us. good price. daily menu abundant to very good value for money and choice. We tested the tomato soup, which was pretty good, and the entrecot and roasted chicken. good quality and attention.

We had the menu of the day, 3 courses for €12.50. it was great value, lovely food and great service. The only improvement would have been to offer a choice of the flavour of the ice cream, they had a huge choice in the counter but the diners were just given what the waiter felt.

The food was ok but the overall experience crashed: initial attention was good, they lock you in bread rejected but still added to bill first drinks order wrong Canarian chicken was lacking chicken meat drinks with dinner never arrived waiters were overstretched, many people left without service EXPENSIVE

Returned to the restaurant after having the best paella of our holiday last year. Unfortunately this year it turned into the worst. It was far too salty and actually inedible. Our friend joined us and tried some too and we all agreed it was overloaded with salt. I spoke to the waitress twice pointing out how much had been left and she just shrugged her shoulders and said different chefs do things differently. We never got a refund she should have followed up on our complaint. Really poor sadly won't be eating there again.

Great location in the square. Very rustic inside. We went on Thursday early evening and the front terrace was packed. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff when we sat inside but they were obviously extremely busy. We opted for the menu of the day and the waiter said we could have the set menu from all days. We went for chicken soup , BBQ pork with chips . The sauce on the meat was delicious. I ha ve to agree with the previous reviewer though. They brought vanilla ice cream so there was no choice. The two waiters who served us were very friendly though. Overall I thought the menu was value for money. The interior is interesting with old photographs of the port. Staff very good .

Mum I came Wed 11 October 2023 for an evening meal. R sat at an empty and available table. Maybe 30 mins after sitting down, we were ready to leave, a waitress finally came and took our drinks order, returned with a dinner menu. Ordered food within approx 10mins. Waited perhaps nearly another hour with zero attention not service etc, no apologies given, no mention of short staffing not food delays with the kitchen. Gave up waiting for dinner. Asked for the bill. Gave up waiting for that after 10minutes. Went to the till to pay and was asked if we only had a drink? Yes, no food as it never arrived. Waitress went out to check our table to see if we had eaten any food. No apologies. Nothing. €1...

Ate here early evening (6pm) on 8 December 2023, I had half a grilled chicken. It was tasty and I enjoyed it. Later that night I became very ill, starting with severe stomach cramps and several hours later vomiting and severe diarrhoea at the same time. I can honestly say this was one of the worst nights of my life, I had to spend the next day in bed and I was extremely weak and exhausted for the last 3 days of my holiday. I believe that this food poisoning came from the chicken as the meal came out very quickly after ordering and I think the chicken had been left from the lunchtime servings and been kept warm at the wrong temperature for too long.
