Wow ! Booked Sunday lunch today, for party of 9 , absolute stunning church house inn , very warm welcome, service and food absolutely fabulous, can’t wait to return

We came on this wonderful old pub purely by chance and consider ourselves very fortunate. This is a fascinating old building in a beautiful location and the service, staff and beer just perfect and we look forward to returning soon.

A little gem deserving of all the praise. Charming candle lit 13th c. inn with a team that really care about offering a warm welcome. Absolutely superb meal at the Church House Inn last night, beautifully cooked and well presented food, one of the best Pub meals we have had, which was also excellent value. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, there is a lovely ambiance, helped by the log burning stove in this wonderfully historic building, set in a beautiful location. Well worth a visit.

Based on our air b&b host's suggestion, we decided to check out this pub. We made a reservation and were able to snag a table, so I recommend doing the same as they tend to get busy. The atmosphere was delightful, the service was friendly, and the homemade dishes were delicious. Some of the items we wanted to try were unfortunately sold out, which was disappointing. My husband loved their signature burger and I enjoyed the bisque. The kids had a great time with their pasta and fish & chips. We were able to bring our dog with us without any issues.

My husband and I ate here while visiting family in the village. It is quite the most atmospheric and delightful old pub I have been in for a very long while. There were 2 wood burning stoves, making the place lovely and cosy, candles on all the tables and pretty lights above the bar. Service was excellent and the staff very welcoming. My husband had the pork dish and I had the chicken tikka masala. Both were very tasty, as were our puds of fruit crumble and custard, and peppermint ice cream. All in all it was a lovely evening and we shall definitely return. Voir le carte

We hadn't been to the Church House Inn in a while, so we decided to have dinner there last Saturday night. We were not disappointed - the food was excellent, the service was perfect, and the atmosphere inside was relaxed. It is evident that they prioritize the quality of their food and the comfort of their guests. It was a nice change to dine somewhere that values quality over packing in as many diners as possible. If you're looking for high-quality food served in a stress-free environment, we highly recommend visiting this pub. We will definitely be returning.

This traditional pub is a true hidden gem, tucked away in a gorgeous sleepy chocolate box village. We loved it so much that we sought it out again after visiting earlier in the year. The huge Tudor (if it’s not Tudor it’s similar in style) oak banqueting hall that greets you is truly impressive. This building is fantastic! The bar is well stocked and the bar lady is fantastic and so welcoming. Then onto the food. Wow! Run by a husband and wife time, the home-cooked food is simply to die for! Beautifully cooked and good sized potions, you are in for a real treat! Be sure to book in advance though, as they do get busy. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is absolutely lovely. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and delicious food. I called last minute to book a table and the owner called me back to confirm and give me directions on how to get there and where to park. When we arrived, we were greeted by a smiling landlady at the beautiful rustic village pub. The place was busy but not too crowded, with a mix of locals, friends, families, and couples enjoying food and drinks. The ambiance was cozy thanks to the two log burners keeping the place warm.
