"I would reccomend this to anyone. Easily one of the best places for a drink and food in Oswaldtwistle, perhaps the whole of Hyndburn. The food is incredible, and on a Thursday it's two for one burgers between 5 and 7, you can't find food of this quality for cheaper anywhere else. There has also recently been a change in the menu, as well as a selection of specials that change every week or so. There's plenty on other nights of the week also, including a pub quiz, home brew night and Magic the gathering nights! The staff are absolutely lovely and the atmosphere is incredibly lovely and friendly. You can find a massive selection of lovely but unusual beers, for example a pineapple beer or lemon radler that you cannot find pretty much anywhere else! It's also dog friendly which is an added bonus! I really cannot reccomend this place enough. You're doing a great job. "Frequent visitor as live in the village. Disappointed tonight though. Recently have become gluten-free.. not by choice. I asked what dishes where gluten free. Told could make majority as fresh sauces... but only had penne pasta. This happened at San Carlos in Manchester last month. I can assure you spaghetti carbanara does not work with penne. Disappointed as no gluten free bread either. Gluten free spaghetti, tagliatelle etc is freely available at any supermarket. As it gluten free bread/flour. It's not a choice like vegan and its definately easier to eat vegan than gluten free as the choices are much better. It's a growingly more common medical complaint. Not all dishes suit penne pasta. No gluten free pizza either. Interesting Tapas 47 next door offer 90% of the food gluten free. It really should be like for like. Gluten intolerance is not the same as coeliac who cannot have cross contamination. Gluten intolerance means just avoiding it. Any chance as an award winning restaurant this can be looked at?? My steak and chips was delicious though"

"I bring the family in every now and then for some good food. Waiting on staff are great and the chef is always accommodating. Tonight however, we came in on the spur of the moment and stumbled into curry. My “house manager” got herself a prawn masala and I plumbed for the lamb jalfrezi. It was one of the best hesitant menu choices I have ever made. The jalfrezi was not the hottest I have had, but it was certainly the tastiest and the lamb melted in the mouth. I’m sat here writing this thinking I’ll be back on Thursday night for sure. Kids meals were great too…. Battered fish was cooked beautifully and there were too many chunky chips for my daughter which were handy for mopping up my jalfrezi sauce haha. So lucky to have this place on our doorstep."

"Some mixed reviews recently and I’ve also had some issues in the past but I have to say our early evening NYE experience was excellent. Despite booking a few weeks in advance we could only get in the bar around 5pm for 4 of us. On arrival the car park was rammed and the place was full of atmosphere. Most of us decided to have the £60 NYE fixed menu which provided some good 3 course choices, plus a glass of Prosecco and arancini on arrival, a champagne sorbet palate cleanser, and coffee and chocolates to finish. Starters included prawn cocktail and duck bon bons, both of which were excellent. Then we all had a fillet steak, each cooked to perfection. Desserts included a delicious chocolate pot, a large baileys crème brûlée, and a decent cheeseboard for those who like that kind of thing. We had our table for 2 hours 15 minutes before we had to vacate and, whilst it felt a tiny bit rushed at the end, time did fly and service was good."
