"This little gem of a cafe is located at Schillerplatz in the heart of Blasewitz in Dresden. Schillerplatz is also a main tram/bus stop so it's easy to find. In walking distance of the cafe is the bridge that goes over the Elbe river to...Loschewitz and is one of the most beautiful spots in Dresden. The owners are a German couple that have lived in Seattle for many years. Which means they know COFFEE! Yes! Hooray! The cafe has a small selection of exquisite desserts because the wife is a master baker. Sometimes the place is a little busy because it's very small and very popular. But in a few minutes it can empty out and then you can get in and have a seat. Usually there are other people in there when you visit so it's easy to strike up a conversation with the locals and practice your international relations : When people leave everyone seems to say goodbye to everyone else in there even if they haven't even talked to them. How cool is that? On Saturday they close by 4pm so try to come earlier in the day. Monday Friday they close at 6:30pm. They have a nice website so check that out. for more information and good photos. The cafe has excellent service, the owners are great, the coffee and ambiance is really good. What more do you want? A great little cafe to visit when you are in Blasewitz."

The café is small in space but it has a very big heart. Nice baked goods, excellent coffee and very friendly and welcoming personal.

This is a hole in the wall kind of place with a couple of seats inside. It is very hard to find a good coffee in Dresden. They do a Flatwhite. It is strong, hot and milk is velvety. Just like it should be.

only visited for about 10 minutes, just before the conclusion of the time, but I am very glad that I made the effort. the coffee was the best of a ten-day trip to Germany and the cookie was also great. in any case worth a visit.

I found this place after good reviews and a bit of coffee snob, paid my visit to this little espresso bar with beautiful cake. I liked her character with colors of the crooked, homemade cake and of course coffee. please don't miss them. this jewel in dresden!

small espresso bar, but with a lot of flair and atmosphere. especially the chai tea latte is a sensation! but also otherwise all coffee specialities are very good and prepared with much love. The program is rounded off with delicious little tartes, cakes and other tasty! really highly recommended.

I was 6 days in the dazzling place and came to the coffee almost every day. it is just as good as NZ coffee (almost! and there are also many delicious cakes, although unhappy, I resisted them. the place to sit is limited so they can go your coffee when it is busy. all the workers I spoke with had good English.

Although the appearance from the outside doesn 't look like the average hip coffee place (somehow 'crazy ' color combination) this is definately a must go if you are in the area and in need of a good espresso or similar. The place is supertiny and you probably...won 't get a place to sit (or you 'll have to snuggle cosily with some other visitors) but the quality of the drinks and the delicious patisserie makes up for it and there 's always the possibility to grab your stuff and go and sit on a bench at the Elbe river. The staff is superfriendly even when there are a lot of customers around.

we couldn't find many good caffes in dresden (in which did everywhere in Germany away from berlin,) but we enjoyed it here...usually to breakfast, but we have their planets as well as 1 tomorrow delicious! there are definitiw potential for imaginative people who are in food/coffee/sickness...in dresden with the city to a popular tourist destination in recent years. there are many larger places cooking for large groups, but not enough small, intimate places, the good quality. so charlottes enkel was pretty good to find and they did it much better than many others in the city center. I think we are pampered in Australia, with all the Italian immigrants who inspire our café owners in the last d...

"I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is situated, it is on the 5th floor, and I passed it a couple of times but it was always empty. One reason, I think, is that the menu is rather obscure, with slashes between the dish description as inscallop/saffron/guava/back puddingA little off- putting, I felt. However, as a lone diner, I was getting pretty fed up of waiting for bad food each evening, although in a beautiful setting, Dresden's main square and its surrounds. So on my last night I treated myself and got a table on the roof terrace. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, and produced a good selection of bread. It's clear there are 5 courses, an appetiser, a hot starter, a soup course, a main and dessert. I didn't want the soup. This wasn't a problem. To start, I had quail's egg/chick/gorgonzola/rocket, but it was so much more than that! It had a delicious fried bread cube, a gorgonzola sorbet, and crumbled herbs to garnish. It was, superb. But the description is selling itself short! The hot starter was also good, scallops in a saffron sauce, with a black pudding jelly. The "guava" ends up on the dish as a smear, nothing more. My main was beef/capers/sour cherries/ smoked aubergine, but again, more- a delicious sauce, and perfect mash- a small amount, but perfect....There are 3 dessert options, I enjoyed a nougat with gold leaf. In all, the food was beautifully presented, and the best food in Dresden so far, on a par, that is, with Kallemeiers where you have to book a table. This place deserves the same popularity but is selling itself short with the odd menu descriptions. It scares people off, like myself. I urge you to go and try for yourself. There's a great evening to be had, in a stunning setting."
