They hadn't booked us in for our table id prebooked but luckily they weren't busy, considering this food was slow to arrive. Our meal was ok. A bit drab looking inside but it was fine, the fire was nice and cosy. Service: 3 Hotel highlights: Quiet

beautiful, welcome, if we are calling for the off-ance, we may be able to eat. eating is good, unpretentious land pub tariff made with high quality local ingredients. service friendly and fast. I feel that we can make a special trip there again, as it was so pleasant.

During our stay at Woodland Retreats, we decided to take a stroll and ended up at this lovely pub. We were so glad we did! The pub is small but great, with a pool table, dart board, and a cozy restaurant. The rooms above the restaurant look fantastic for an overnight stay. The pub is dog-friendly and the bar staff were fantastic. If we didn't already have plans, we probably would have eaten dinner here and enjoyed more drinks. Definitely worth a visit. Service: 5/5.

The service was excellent but unfortunately it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve encountered. We had two fairly simple meals and the gammon was tough, the steak was very underdone and the chips were like frozen shop bought chips (very dry and over cooked) We also could barely hear ourselves think over the noise from the main bar, which isn’t the restaurants fault but something to consider at certain times of the evening maybe asking the locals to keep it down before 8pm

We only stayed for one night but we absolutely loved this place! Rachel (I hope I got her name right) was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Her customer service was excellent. Amanda is not only a fantastic host but also a talented cook! She is very friendly and takes the time to chat with guests. The dinner we had was freshly prepared and delicious. For breakfast, we had a selection of fruits, cereals, and a cooked breakfast made to order, all of which were delicious. Our room was fantastic - spotlessly clean, with an extremely comfortable bed, and a luxurious shower.
