"Christmas dinner in Castagno the biggest disappointment! Gänsekeule, duck in orange sauce, red cabbage and lumps (from the Christmas card) were served lukewarm (and this is still under examination) and not boiled. After the food went back to the kitchen, it was just a bit warmer. Lachs in Lachsrisotto tasted old (the unusual taste was then pushed onto the barelain in the risotto instead of withdrawing the dish without standing). The cream caramel was smelled (I will not even offer my guests home when the cream rubs me). Were not in the restaurant for the first time, but definitely for the last time."

very good service, occasions to sit in indoor and outdoor areas (depending on season), very good food, good location, always happy to take Pizza Castagno. Shortly after picking up, taste was very good, fresh ingredients, packaging environmentally conscious, very good experiences!

....What to say... Family friendly, decent prices and service. BUT when you serve an expensive fish dish 28euros accompanied by cold veg, then don’t immediately replace them when asked, and offer a measly 4euro reduction for the uneaten veg, then I think you just lost me as a customer.

We ordered a veal steak and pork meat in Gorgonzola sauce with vegetabled and frites. Good meat. As a dessert Italian Coffee wigh Grappa. Pleasant service, nice atmosphere and modest prices. On the house we have got two glasses of grappa. The restaurant accepts creditcards. You have a wide seldction of food;also Seafood.

Just visited Castagnos whilst on business locally. What a mistake!! Ordered the chicken with mushrooms. The sauce with the mushrooms was so salty it made me feel sick. I'm sure the chef must have accidentally emptied whole salt pot in the sauce. Kitchen must understand if people want their food to taste of salt let the customer decide!! Never again

eating was ok but can be built! I had ordered the black medallions with truffle sauce. the medaillons were very thin minute steaks that were fried dry and baked. the truffle sauce was more a cream sauce with hardly a truffle taste. eating was not tasted well and had hardly taste experiences. the sweetness was blanched and even without taste was made sweet on the dish. for the price I would have just expected more tastefully.
