"We first visited Restaurant Casalta more than 20 years ago as a young couple on the cusp of getting married in Firenze. We ate there practically every day the food was so delicious. Last month we returned with our daughters, 17 15, two decades later the food was as consistent as it ever was really excellent Italian food cooked fresh and with great service to match. Maria’s ravioli with porcini mushrooms and truffles were as delicious as i remembered them. She really is an amazing cook and would rival any food you’d eat at the likes of The Ivy (it’s seriously that good). Giulia, with her beautiful smile and excellent English, was 16 when we last saw her she’s now 36 and in charge of the restaurant, which is always full of locals Italian families, as well as visitors to the area like us. The family sell their own gorgeous Casalta wine and olive oil. I highly recommend both and they are available to buy so we brought some home to England with us! Twenty years on since first dining here it’s clear the family take pride in the dishes they cook and serve. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality!"

Lovely family-run restaurant. The server was lovely and spoke very good English. She helped us choose some local dishes and wine. We really enjoyed our meal. Very reasonable prices. Would recommend

Local restaurant with very wide choice of local dishes: Meat, Fish, pasta and pizza. All very tastfull and fresh made. Very friendly staff and fun local atmosphere. You can also order dishes for take away. Honest and correct prices. You cannot be disappointed @Casalta!

Siamo stati a Casalta per il battesimo del nostro bambino, Ristorante a condizione familiare, ci siamo trovati molto bene, servizio veloce, cibo buono,olio e vino Chianti DOCG di loro produzione, torta fatta da loro meravigliosa.prezzi giusti. Ambiente accogliente. Consigliato.

August lunch with relatives, we opted for a sea meal and we were not disappointed. squid with swordfish strepitosa, also good risotto and rock. excellent fries, dry and crispy with the thought in my opinion brilliant of the fried rocket. Original sweets and prices in line with what eaten, only sins the wait of about 40 minutes in the first and second due perhaps to the day of celebration. a place where I will definitely come back!
