"continues the journey to the discovery of the award-winning Italian trattorias, we managed to make a stop at the gates of Milan, to test also the historical ancient trattoria of the ****. certain period (June 2022) is not the maximum seen the temperatures, but fortunately the shady courtyard damps the calura. very nice and courteous the reception by the owner and the service offered by the young waiters. really good as taste, seasonings (bee and onion) and texture, the tongue pastrami as an appetizer; delicate and in some ways refreshing, the cream of fava beans with chicory; much more tasty and rustic the rice to the jump, fondue of reggiano and white ragù, however interesting; I also liked the classic cotoletta (with its fries,) which I found delicate and with a good taste, I would say (in terms of fry) not dry as I would have expected; decidedly tasty and intense tastes of cheese (a goat, a seasoned with saffron and herborinated zola, to be swallowed with jams and dried fruit in combination; the iconic cream canncini to close. I don't know the prices of restaurants in Milan, this would incasellerei in a mid-high price range. it was a good lunch overall; if I have to be honest, however, in terms of experience other locals of the award-winning trattorias, I have been more impressed; in these stages I happened to find, in addition to technical skills and raw materials of level, great passion that the hosts had been able to communicate also to the guests."

"Lovely chic farmhouse restaurant just outside of Milan. We were on a Sunday drive outside of the city and happened upon this place with a crowded parking lot so decided to try it for lunch since the locals always know best. We had to wait a little since we didn’t have reservations and the place was packed, but were seated comfortably by the bar with glasses of bubbly until our table was ready. The handmade tagliatelle and ravioli were absolutely divine, service was prompt and friendly, prices very good, and the ambience charming and posh. We had 2 primi, secondi, 2 glasses of Francia corta, a bottle of burgundy and caffé for €100, back home in Santa Barbara at that quality and ambiance it would have cost at least 2-3 times as much. Excellent, memorable afternoon, definitely recommend this locale and judging by their popularity, many others agree."

"after entering into a dark walk through the restaurant, the main room is quite good, with glass walls around the view of the small garden outside. the distance between the tables is acceptable, give them some private sphere, also because the people here use to come into groups....90% of their options are fish based, with a good variety of species and taste. from appetizers to main courses, the perceived quality is high enough, while quantity is simply ok. the total recipe is also good, although it is on consistency instead of raffinesse (and that is nice for me), although some dishes offer unusual ingredients combination. dessert shows some mistakes, with parochial options better suited for a trattoria, as well as coffee that is not really unforgettable. honorary mention for the costs/benefits that are a welcome plus (approximately 30 EUR/Pax, including drinks) according to the quality offered."

"we discovered the restaurant the great ship thanks to wedding. com. after asking for availability for the day of our wedding we fixed an appointment with paolo that was exceptional. the location we liked right away and with paolo we immediately understood to skin that was the top! we opted for a menu both of sea and of land and paolo suggested modifications on some dishes and associated wines. Of course he also recommended us on the type of wedding cake and the type of ad hoc menu for celiacs, lactose intolerances and for children. What to say...that day was spectacular....all the guests, we spouses included, enjoyed all the menu. excellent food and quality, impeccable service and high level of professionalism. even our dear friends from Romagna have told us to have eaten as god and that they will come to visit us also in winter to taste other delights of paolo and the legendary chef Elisa. thank you with all our paolo heart, elisa and all the wonderful staff of the great ship for making our wedding an exceptional event. a hug and soon! maize and franc"
