Horrid place and rude to my elderly dad when he went in to coffee at 1pm and rudely told him they were closed when they shut at 3pm infront of a busy restaurant

We have been Customers of this restaurant for many years and we were aware it had recently changed ownership prior to our visit. The food and service, as in the past, did not disappoint and it was pleasing to see the restaurant quite busy.

This was a regular haunt of ours for a 'girly ' lunch and after our visit today, since the new owners took over, i` don 't think we will be back. Not the same quality of food or service, which is a real shame because it is local for all of us. Voir le carte

Awful service dirty crockery ordered straightforward breakfast breakfast arrived without the toast waited 10 minutes went in abrupt answer then another 10 minutes after I had finished my breakfast toast arrived brown not white as ordered.. lots of staff there so no excuse. Saucers stained and teaspoons brown stained too. Very disappointing.

There were two of us went in for lunch 1.30 Sat down and waited for service. There were 3 tables having already been served, their were 4 or 5 persons in the kitchen. After waiting 7/8 mins no one came out. so we walked out. This would not have happened before the take over, how ever busy the cafe . was. I had been going there and introduced people over the 12yrs not any more.

What a lovely gem, popped in for a pit stop for a Tuna Jacket, sandwich and cuppa first over was a lovely mug of tea followed by the sarni on lovely thick bread and a huge jacket with just loads of tasty topping the place was spotless, great loos and pricing just fine all topped of by the most wonderfull staff they were especially brilliant. We will be back on our next house hunt Voir le carte

Took my aunt for lunch today first visit after it had changed owners.Can only say wasn’t disappointed in any way.The chicken pie and fresh vegetables my aunt had was said to be really nice and nothing was left.My jacket potato was a good size with plenty of filling ,side salad and coleslaw. The staff were very attentive and friendly cannot wait for a return visit. Good luck to them.

Sitting in Carleys now after dropping my car off at local garage for a service…I decided to have breakfast and chill for a few hours.. I had a standard breakfast and it was well cooked and more than I could eat, so glad I didn’t try the double. Coffee was good, which is very important for me first thing in the morning!! It’s the first time coming here since the change of ownership and am glad to say the excellent quality is the same. Special well done to the two lovely ladies who were very welcoming.. Happy to recommend

I visited today for the first time since the new owners took over. Having seen good and bad reviews we decided to take a chance and see for ourselves. We were very impressed with the new pods outside but opted to eat inside. We received a very friendly welcome and the inside all looks very nice. There seems to be less tables so not cramped at all. I ordered a beef burger and asked for the extra cheese option. The burger arrived with chips and a generous salad. Unfortunately the burger and bun were both burnt inside and they had put grated cheese inside not the usual cheese slice you would expect with a burger.
