"Left eaterie next door after waiting 15 mins for a menu and found Cafe Liaison. Really welcoming reception. Although staff were busy, and a queue was waiting to pay, the waitress Tasha greeted us with a beaming smile , gave us a menu and we...sat outside . A couple of minute later, Tasha was taking our drinks order and then returned promptly for the food order. nice choice of sandwiches, paninis, nibbles and light lunches. Breaded mushrooms in garlic dip followed by posh fish fingers bread crumbed cod ' fingers ' in Brioche bun with salad nicely presented and very filling was lovely. My husbands burger, he specified cremated ' having been caught out in the past elsewhere was indeed properly cooked and I am told very good. would definitely go there again ! The staff even offered an adjacent table couple a bowl of water for their dog."

beautiful setting. pity over the prices. £8.50 she gets 3 falafels and a handful of salad leaves. Maybe other food is better.

The cafe liaison was well done. The staff, who were actually a friendly team, were beautiful with our dog. The food was absolutely delicious and we were served promptly. Thank you.

Overpriced for what it is. Food average at best. Bit behind the times. Not very vegan friendly. Deserts found lacking. Base was soggy and watery. Main meal very little effort put into it. Very disappointing at those prices. Looks better upstairs so sit there if...you can. Voir le carte

We were camping nearby and were unsure of the location, but we were delighted to stumble upon this cafe. The breakfast was just what we were craving, so we returned the following day. The staff was welcoming and the food was served promptly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect meal.

As relative newcomers to the area, so many fine places to try and this wonderful venue was today's choice for a full English. The breakfast ingredients were excellent, plentiful portions and proper flat white coffees. Superb friendly staff. Clear to see how popular this cafe...was, by the amount of people coming and going, who were obviously regulars, with their friendly banter with the staff. Highly recommended. Voir le carte

Visited here the other day with My Dad we both ordered a posh fish finger roll with hot chocolate . The posh fish finger sandwich was amazing and the hot chocolate was steaming hot which you want it to be and was a nice rich...chocolate taste . We got served quickly and efficiently. The hot chocolate was served to us within minutes as well as the fish finger rolls not long after . Overall the food and drink was delicious and the customer service was very attentive service we will be back :

We decided to visit after seeing previous reviews and were not disappointed. We arrived at about two minutes to ten on a Sunday morning just as they were opening up. We were welcomed enthusiastically and were soon given menus. One of us had a small...breakfast, the other bacon and sausage in a bap. Good quality ingredients, very tasty and not bad value for money. Coffee hot and of good strength. My only quibble was the brown sauce sachets. Very difficult to open in fact, I had to tear it with my teeth, which was not ideal. Other than that, thoroughly recommended.

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
