"we were here after I had blown the lake for a late lunch. found the place without problems, waited a few minutes for an empty table - very busy space, a table goes and instead come more people. there is no English menu, but the nice waitress was very patient and explained for us. and the rest has made the google translate app. we ordered self-made goulash soup and something called maxi, the brot with ham and cheese was in many and was very delicious. After we got a white chocolate and a brown normal pralins, both were excellent. we also took a cream cake that was good, but brot had instead of piety. I would recommend coming here and then making a walk."

we had breakfast here two times and the food was in order. the cakes and the sweet pastries are very good. the unfriendly service we didn't like.

were there on a family holiday. next to the beautiful view of the lake you realize that you take care of all the details. very good service and local cake variety. recommended.

my elders, my wife and I ate here. we had a nice lunch with good coffee, good bread and simple meal times. later we tried some baked and baked goods and returned a few times during our trip to get more tasty. very beautiful experience! Voir le carte

a beautiful place for coffee and cake. when they sit outside on the veranda, they have the view over the lake and the black forest hills behind it. the service is polite and professional. the cake and tortuous drinks are big, but simply to eat, as they are just so beautiful.

found this on trip advisor and was definitiw not disappointed, we sat at the window with view of the sea, we had the most great black forests chirschtorte and chocolate cake, nice ladies come to serve them very friendly. they also sell good bread and baked. recommend this place

perhaps the best caffe far and wide. great homemade goulash soup for example, rather a stew than a suppe, a complete meal in a bowl. then there are the cakes! large selection of traditional black forests dessert, among them black forests chirschtorte, plum cake, chirschkuchen, apfelstrudel Voir le carte

we visited the caffe hug last year to lunch. it was a sunny day and the view from the terrace was absolutely spectacular. eating was of high quality, large portions and well presented. the service was friendly and welcoming. the highlight was the black forest cake to complete the food. we could almost not finish it, because it was a big disc at the end of a saturating meal, but we enjoyed it very much.

this has a perfect location with a view of the lake, so much was going on this weekday afternoon. also clearly a smarter (and older) clientele. more beautiful place to sit and eat my tasty plum cake, accompanied by hot chocolate with plenty of whipped cream (I forgot without asking how I usually do it - a pity!) the waitress was professional but distanced as it belongs to such a etablissement; I wouldn't want this from a waitress at dinner, but somehow, at this lazy summer afternoon, everything seemed to be completely in order.

"1) Nice hotel, with sometimes very mixed food: a) The breakfast buffet is very extensive and excellent. b) Lunch in the “Gugelhupf” café fluctuates between ok and inedible. For example, a tomato soup or the sauce from Spaghetti Napoli tastes like curry ketchup. I have no idea which chef does something like that, but outside of a currywurst stand it 's a no-go. c) Dinner in the Panorama restaurant is good, but unfortunately only a menu and no buffet. Dinner in the “Am Kachelofen” restaurant is a buffet, but with a rather mediocre selection. There are almost no dishes for children, even though it is actually a family-friendly hotel. 2) Target group of the hotel: That is perhaps a bit at the heart of the problem. The hotel fluctuates between a family hotel, a business hotel and a wellness hotel. It doesn 't exactly hit the mark for any of these target groups. a) As a family hotel, there is a sports hall with a bouncy castle and some children 's toys. Unfortunately, the family rooms are exactly at the other end of the hotel, so you can easily travel 20 minutes with children. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything in between that is barrier-free for strollers or wheelchair users. For whatever reason, there are only 1-2 hours of children 's toys in the swimming pool every day. b) The sauna area is good for wellness guests, but can hardly be used with small children. The rest of the swimming pool area is nice, but a bit small. c) As a business hotel, the many children in the dining room and in the swimming pool are probably annoying. And as a rule, you won 't go to the sauna together in a professional context. 3) Other points: a) It 's great that there is childcare including lunch. b) The staff is friendly, but sometimes not that helpful. There is sometimes a lack of knowledge about how child care works or what is in the food. c) Even simple activities such as billiards cost extra. In a hotel in this price range I would have expected that this would simply be included. d) The prices for cocktails are quite fair, even if you sometimes have to wait a little longer due to the crowds."
