Wow mega more is possible, the Christmas decoration is simply beautiful. The service was once again excellent, attentive and very friendly. The food was to die for: grilled plates with potato wedges. Very good meat quality grilled to perfection and tasted very very good. I can only recommend!! Keep it up. Greetings to the super nice team!!! Food: 5

In April I visited Cafe de Lago I was staying with my family. We were five people everybody ordered something different. All our food was very good, neither were the portions small. My brother and my two nephews have a good appetite. I did not...have the feeling that they left hungry. The price was reasonable for the quality of food we had. The striking thing about this restaurant is the great view of the lake. The meal was good and the price reasonable. We do not speak German so always appreciate that the staff are making a very special effort to speak to us but do not...always carry the friendly inflection that a native speaker might be able to add. That said, we found some of the staff had something of a take it or leave it attitude while others could not have been more helpful.

In principle, this place isn't bad. The menu is interesting, and the food is quite good. The location is fine, and atmosphere is totally in order. But... The owners seem to want to save money on the service. Even when the place is half empty...the service is not particularly attentive, and when it's full (by good weather) they are completely overwhelmed. (Incidentally, charging extra when someone wants a mineral water instead of a coffee with a breakfast belongs really in the last century

Wir können uns nicht mal zu dem Angebot an Speisen und Getränken äußern - so weit kam es leide (?) nicht. Es war ein Sommertag, Temperaturen weit in die 20*C - doch leider war die Hälfte der Tische im Außenbereich abgeschlossen. Auf eine normal freundliche Anfrage, ob denn die Tische noch geöffnet werden, wurden wir mit den Worten "hier Schluss jetzt" stehen gelassen. Der Ton, der von den Servicekräften gewählt wurde, war alles andere als angemessen. Keine Erklärung, keine Entschuldigung, nix. Wenn Euch Fragen der Kunden nerven, stellt ein Schild auf. Bei einem solchen Umgangston hätte mir jedenfalls auch die beste Currywurst nicht geschmeckt...

Mit Freunden könnte ich gestern den Abend dort verbringen und bin immernoch sehr begeistern. Nach einem schönen Tag am Salzgittersee ist das Café del Lago die perfekte Localität für ein Getränk zum Sonnenuntergang oder auch ein sehr gutes Abendessen. Zwar wurden wir im Vorraus vor dem schlechten Service gewarnt, wurden allerdings eines Besseren belehrt. Freundlich wurden wir zum Tisch gebracht und auch bei der Bestellung gab die recht neue Bedienung eine gute Empfehlung ab. Es gab keinen Grund zur Beanstandung, im Gegenteil - eine toller Abend auf der Terasse. Das Ambiente, da waren wir uns einig, ist das Beste in Salzgitter und Umgebung. Einen Besuch ist das Café del Lago absolut wert!

Visited this place on a glorious Sunday afternoon with the family. Had an outside table with a great lakeside view. I can only concur with the other German visitors experiences, see below. Ordered ice creams and a salad. Salad appeared rapidly but our ice creams appeared after minutes! Then to add insult to injury we were given chocolate chip instead of our Mango, Lemon and Chocolate chip order. After talking to the waiter we were told quite rudely, all sold out and here are your deserts. Basically dry your eyes and get on with it. We were very disappointed by our visit to Café del Lago! My husband and I had reserved for us and his parents. And I'm telling you, if we had been alone, we would have gone prematurely.It began with the fact that we were not placed at the table that we reserved a week before personally after a common meal. We had reserved a table with beautiful view of the lake, we got a table with a view of the terrace, but not on the lake.We waited for our food exactly one hour.During the first 40 minutes we watched how the service staff plates wore around plates on the terrace also at tables that were occupied after we arrived and therefore asked for the first time when we will get our food.
