"big prizes, small portions. I went on Saturday with a group of friends in the residency. I ordered the risotto for the main, which was beautiful, was tiny, I even wondered if they had brought me an initial part until my friend reached the same size. another friend ordered a filet steak that was about the size of a satsuma! the waitress constantly sleeps the wine glasses high and emptied the bottle twice before she came to me, so we were forced to order both paints another bottle. on the table was another bottle of foam water that no one had ordered, but at the end of the night stood on the bill! the restuarant itself, atmosphere etc. is beautiful but...read more"

"The food was amazing! We both had a scallop and chorizo starter. My husband had a burger and fries and said it was the best burger he had ever eaten. There was also a pot of gravy with it, which he said was great! He’s really fussy and doesn’t give compliments lightly, so it must have been good! I had salmon, which was delicious . We live in south east England and are disappointed that this place isn’t a lot nearer to where we live!"

"Saturday evening dinner here has a small menu, but there are vegetarian options. no vegan however. the food was 5 out of 5 very nice. service was excellent. there was a problem with ventilation from the kitchen, so there was a smokey atmosphere that began to irritate our eyes and made the experience a little unpleasant. we would have stayed for the gloomy, but my mother was the worst affected and could no longer stay there. we asked the staff and they explained that there was a temporary opportunity with the ventilator in the kitchen. However, they did not address this when we arrived or acknowledged until we expressly asked ourselves and another group on the table next to us also with their eyes was irritated. our clothing and haare also melt badly after leaving the place because of the cookers from the kitchen. Hopefully this will be solved soon, but it has influenced our visit and is the reason that this is not a 5-star rating."

"Went for my birthday which was on a Sunday. I had Sunday lunch which was lovely. But only had a selected menu because it was Sunday. There was a singer on who was very good. There was a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would like to go again and try something from the full menu. It looked delicious. A great afternoon/evening was had by everyone."

"The Wickstead Arms is a gem of a pub right in the heart of Nantwich. It oozes character with its fine selection of real cask ales that you may never have seen before. The food has that home made quality you rarely find these days. Plenty of choice and served piping hot with friendly attentiveness. If you want a proper pub you don’t need to scour the streets just head for the Wickstead Arms and you won’t be disappointed."
