"This place was already starting to fill up at noon on a Monday, and was buzzing by the time we left. It does what it does extremely well; a small but comprehensive menu offering a decent variety of French dishes, all given a slight modern twist. My husband's terrine and roti de veau were delicious, as were the gazpacho and saucisson rôti with white peas that I ordered. We were having such a good time that we each ordered a portion of the cherry clafoutis for pudding - excellent. We shared a carafe of côte du Rhône which was really good (I'm normally a bit dubious about "natural wines", having had a few bad examples.) Service was perfectly amiable, if ever so slightly hipster. As our hotel was just around the corner, this was a real find, and we'd definitely eat there again - it's as far from being a Parisian Tourist Trap as you could hope. Bear in mind that it's only open during the week, but do seek it out."
