"Came here for my husband's birthday with his family I had asked for a couple of bottles of prosecco to be on the table when we arrived. Upon arrival I was delighted at the décor as the place is clean and pretty with an...authentic Italian feel. We were seated quickly and the prosecco was already chilled at the table and the lovely staff immediately popped and poured everyone's glasses. Every table was full so it did take some time for our orders to be taken but the staff were very friendly and attentive thereafter for topping up glasses and taking further drinks orders. The menu looked incredible and there was a huge selection of tempting dishes, and I'm delighted to say that everyone enjoyed their selection immensely. Most of us ended up taking away doggy bags as we were so full but didn't want the food to go to waste! Between the friendly staff, the incredible food, and the atmosphere, it all came together to make the evening very enjoyable and everyone was singing the restaurant's praises as we left. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend them to friends and family in the future!"

Simply a fantastic experience end to end. Very responsive on Facebook messenger confirming booking and amending at our request. Food amazing as always and wonderful value with the Tuesday special menu especially with it being the new year bank holiday. Thanks again.

eddie morrison. good food - an oasis in the food desert that is killie (with a few remarkable exceptions) the owners have well made with a restaurant on this side and the ambiente is excellent. had many good nights in here, long may it flourish! love the cheese penne with parmesan

Visited today with our Granddaughters age Staff welcomed us straight away. We had booked table for o’clock but arrived just after as Panto finished earlier than expected. Girls were given their own menu crayons. Service was first...class. Foot was amazing. Kids menu was excellent. attention from staff. Can’t wait to go back.

We have eaten at Da Vincis several times; and since we last reviewed it in the consistency has gone. The food is still mostly fine and the service friendly, but our most recent visit was indicitve of what occaissionally happens, it's just not quite...right. On this occaision, the pizzas were so sloppy that the toppings barely stayed on the base and none of us, my wife, myself or our son enjoyed them. Will we go back, probably, but when you drop for starters, pizza and a bottle of wine, it has to be better.

Visited with two year olds. Arrived at opening time. Hadn't booked so wouldn't have minded it they couldn't have accommodated us... But they did... Squeezed us in. Loved it. Good was real!y good except the sqid. That was a case of less would...have been more. The veal was real and yum. We mixed it up a bit from the Children's menu (one of the year old's was a first time in a lovely restaurant), starters and menu proper. I asked if they could just bring out our food as it was ready. They humoured us and for more scrummy food than we could eat, pasta, garlic bread, veal, chips (I know, but the kids wanted), squid (not brilliant), veal (brilliant) and drinks... Including wine for me, was just o...

Terrible service do not visit this restaurant Visited this restaurant last night with my husband and two daughters and never ever have I felt so compelled to write a bad review if a restaurant in my life ! Service to start was slow food is mediocre at best and I ordered pasta for my daughter who is years old they charged !! For this smallest portion you have ever seen when they were questioned about the price of it they started turning nasty and we felt very very intimidated indeed we were given a tirade of abuse from the so called owner lady ?? And told when we left never to come back well I never have experienced anything like this ever and thought that if you are reading this please do no...

"My husband and I bought an itison voucher for brunch for £29 for The Sorn Inn. When we arrived at 12 we were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered the eggs benedict with the sauce on the side and my husband ordered the full scottish breakfast. We had to wait a while, I'm unsure how long exactly but we weren't too bothered as we thought our food was all being made fresh. When it arrived, my husband's food look really nice. No complaints there. My eggs benedict consisted of 2 cold toasted slices of bloomer bread. One with 1 slice of fried bacon on it and the other with 1 poached egg. The hollandaise sauce was in fact mayonnaise. I called the waitress over and told her this wasn't what I ordered. I ordered eggs benedict which was stated on the menu as a toasted muffin, ham and poached eggs with a hollandaise sauce. She was lovely. She apologised and said she would take it back to the kitchen. After she done this she returned and said that there was no muffins left and would I like to order something else. By this point my husband was halfway through his breakfast. Why was eggs benedict even on the menu if there were no muffins?? I told the waitress I would have the full scottish breakfast then. By this time there was 2 other tables filled and the eggs benedictwas still being sold. Our waitress brought me over another coffee while I waited on my breakfast. It wasn't quick. It was alright when it arrived. But not great. The toast was still cold and there wasn't any butter. Zoe our waitress was wonderful. Whatever the owners are paying her, just isn't enough. She was apologetic, attentive and calm under pressure. Why didn't the chef tell Zoe to take the eggs benedict off the menu as it was still being sold when we were leaving. What kind of chef thinks cold toast, bacon and mayo is eggs benedict? We have been to the Sorn Inn on numerous times before and the food has been outstanding. Such a shame as we do like to eat out and support local and smaller restaurants but we won't be hurrying back."
