"In part, I cannot understand the previous reviews. We were here as tourists/tourists with a group of 10 people. 1 week earlier called and booked. Everything went great and easy! The food was hot and the portions big. The staff is super nice and competent. As an example for the super service: We had 2 toddlers with us. One of them fell the pacifier on the ground. Immediately it was asked whether the pacifier/disinfect is boiled with hot water. Very attentive and great. Thank you. All hygiene measures were also complied with. We can only recommend this restaurant. Possibly recommended reservation."

"Die gemütliche Gaststube verbreitet ausser der grell hellen Beleuchtung einen Altvätercharme, der leider heute kaum mehr anzutreffen ist. Der Begriff altdeutsche Weinstube erfährt hier seine positive Berechtigung. Alles in allem ein Ambiente der 5o er Jahre. So weit so gut, wenn nicht auch die Küche in diesem Jahrzehnt sehengeblieben wäre. Steifdicke Sauce (Roulade), totgekochtes, geschmackloses Sauerkraut, , Toasts, Schnitzelkarte rauf und runter und bitte: was soll ein grosser Klecks Sprühsahne, in den man auch noch Schnittlauchhalme gesteckt sind, auf einem Camembert ? Wenn man hier die Küche (und den Wirt) etwas pfiffiger daher kommen liesse, wäre der Besuch in dieser Weinstube sicher ein ungetrübter Genuss.. Auch die auf diesem Portal hochgelobten Weine munden wohl eher den Biertrinkern und nicht den weinkundigen Gästen."

"I really wonder how such a place can be top rated! We made a reservation for 20:00 but the table was not ready earlier than 20:25. No English menu available and you don't see if you are a welcomed client. After ordering the food, it was ready 1 hour and 40 minutes later. For such a service and that super salty food, I would never recommend this place, specifically when you are in holiday. "we arrived at 4th shortly after 17 o'clock. to dinner, as we had to attend a event at 7:00 a.m. this restaurant is only one of two restaurants in oberwesel, which opens before 18 o'clock. we were immediately greeted by the owner and she led us to a table in the dining room. three of us speak only English, so the owner came and helped us with our orders. we were all very satisfied with our meal times, which were served quickly and directly from the pan, and we have eaten every bite! we will come back in oberwesel at our next visit."

"Usually everything was always good.Have always ordered sushi there and picked up, the food was always timely and completely ready to complete.Today I was there the first time on site with 3 other people eating. We all ordered together and gradually within half an hour the food was brought for each individual. It would have been better if they had brought everything together so that everyone could eat at the same time. After an hour I went before asking, that was said in ca. 4-5 min would be ready.The others were already ready with their food. Shortly afterwards, I am back and said that they should please pack it, as we would like to drive right away.In the meantime, another 15 minutes have passed when it was paid. I asked again when it was finished. It was said that it was just packed.I stayed quiet all the time and asked what had gone wrong today. The “employee” said that he was “only to visit” there and then asked me if the waiter had understood and written everything. What happened to me. Hello, who's gonna hire someone who doesn't understand the customers. You should have just been honest and could have said that the note went down with the order...may have happened. He then came up with that the boss and the boss weren't in the house, otherwise he could have given us a “good note.” In my opinion, there was no real idea there, there were only “children” in my opinion. Would have preferred to award 0 stars today."
