"The cafe is a wonderful place for vulnerable people with autism to learn new skills with a view to applying for jobs in the wider world. Situated in the abbey square the cafe has a pleasant ambience and is very handy for having a stroll around the abbey ruins (or the village) before or after sampling the refreshments on offer. We had a bacon butty and a sausage butty at the cafe. Both were good. I ordered a black decaffeinated coffee which came in a cafetière. It proved to be excellent; a second coffee was ordered with an excellent piece of carrot cake. My friend’s pot of tea was good too. Service was good and staff were very pleasant. We shall return. NB. Having read a previous negative review it is obvious the writer wasn’t aware that the young staff were vulnerable and were being trained. As he was unhappy he ought to have approached the manager and made his concerns known. Without feedback the issues he experienced couldn’t be resolved…"

Beautiful little hidden gem in Whalley Abbey. All home made cakes and biscuits. Soups are amazing. All run by volunteers and adults with autism. Fantastic value for money so I would highly recommend.

this caffe offers an excellent location in the area of the abtei whalley. parking is free for visitors in the courtyard. it is a social company that offers education for people with autism. when we visited, coffee and eating were served only in pappe. kartons and tassen.

Amazing little Gem in the beautiful surrounds of Whalley Abbey garden and grounds. The food is cooked carefully and to perfection and is very reasonably priced. I visit here at least once a week with my 1 and 3 year old. Keep it up...guys and thanks for opening throughout despite

We decided to stop here after a recommendation I recieved when working with NAS. The cafe only had 3 tables available inside (I assume due to covid as it was larger inside) and quite a few outside. Inside is lovely, it's a big converted barn....We opted for 2 flat whites, a bacon and brie panini and ploughman's. The food was tasty and well presented when it arrived. We would definitely visit again if we are in the area. Came to around £20 which we felt was a fair price.

This was quite simply the most delicious afternoon tea we have had in a long while, freshly made generous and very reasonably priced. The whole menu looked tempting and the most warming hearty soup was also tried n tested. Lovely setting, warm and friendly. Excellent,...courteous, friendly service. Impressive example of a charity based enterprise supporting autism awareness opportunities and training. Added bonus of a lovely walk around Whalley Abbey. Bravo we will defo be back.

We called in here today for a snack and drink whilst cycling through Whalley. First impressions, what a beautiful setting. I’ve cycled through Whalley hundreds, if not thousands of times and have never been here. The coffee was out of a vending machine, ok, not the best I’ve had by a long way but not the worst. The bacon barm was very good and perfectly cooked. We will for sure return, the two reasons I’ve knocked a star off is, firstly, we had enamel plates but disposable cups. That isn’t environmentally friendly at all. Secondly, they only take card payments, not good if you’re out on the bike and only have cash on you. Thankfully one of my cycling buddies paid and I gave him the cash. Oth...

"I wasn't at blueberries with my friends since before covid so it was great to kick through the door and see how busy it is, fortunately I had a table for lunch. there is nothing special vegan on the menu, but they try to place their very hardest, in contrast to some places. I love a jacket kartoffel and choose her beats with various items from the menu, so ordered frying and avocado. katherine, one of the owners and cook came on our table and said she could suggest some other dishes and also vegan cheese if I did not the jacket kartoffel, but if I still did how about the topping of sonbs. what a nice geste and I will visit her on her offer of other options at the next. I noticed that they were able to offer vegan options for their Christmas card and also had two vegan, frozen meals to take away, moussaka and chili. my friends ordered a chicken and specksalat and a fish and chips and both said that eating was delicious with a mention that the chips were the best. my kartoffel was huge, with a lot of topping, served with beautiful salat and quickly grinded. the food is made fresh to order and blueberries is very popular as full it was on a cold Wednesday afternoon. there is also a small marquee on the side of the blueberries, which for those who are brave and sitting the weather and of course adds extra space. I really can't knock blueberries, they may not have vegan options (although a cake would be nice and I need to ask if they have plant milk as I always have my own. but they will always try to eat rusty something satisfying and with announcing can something like a vegan hotpot that I had before, what was brilliant."
