"I recently stayed at the Beech Hill Hotel for two nights and dined at Burlington's on both evenings. I have to say, it was absolutely amazing. The restaurant is perfectly situated, although it was a bit chilly on the first night. However, as soon as we mentioned it, one of the waiters promptly turned on the heater, making our dining experience much more comfortable. The food was without a doubt some of the best we've ever had, both in the UK and abroad. We were even lucky enough to have a meal prepared by James Martin himself, and I can honestly say that the food at Burlington's surpassed it. The first night we were served by the head chef, and the second night we were taken care of by Karolina's husband, who is also a chef at the hotel. The menu offered a fantastic array of dishes, including glazed pork cheek, lamb, Mackeral, chicken, all expertly prepared and presented. The desserts were to die for, and I have never had a Creme Brulee as delicious as the one served at Burlington's. The service from the staff was impeccable, and we have no complaints whatsoever. We are already looking forward to our next visit. 5 stars from us!"

Three and five course menus of the highest quality. Great wine list. Beautifully appointed dining room.

I dined at the restaurant as part of my overnight stay at the lovely Beech Hill Hotel. The dinner was excellent and the full menu offering of all the courses was very reasonably priced.

No Roast Potatoes!!! with xmas day lunch when we queried we were told the chef was Polish!!! There is a saying in England ,When in ENGLAND DO AS THE ENGLISH DO. not as the chef wants to do.

Ate here twice while staying at the hotel and the food was very good and well presented. We had 3 courses each night and had no complaints at all. Wine list is a bit limited and perhaps could do with more choices.

The restruarant at the Beech Hill is up with the best. We enjoyed the set menu selection and the cheese board to finish with a large glug of Taylors Port. This was are second time dinning at Burlingtons and despite enjoying are meal we felt it had not reached the higih standards of our first visit.

During our stay at the hotel, we dined at this restaurant twice. The food was of excellent quality and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch both nights. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the meals. Kudos to the entire team for a job well done. Overall, an excellent dining experience.

This is our second visit to this hotel and restaurant and we will be back again. It is old fashioned dining with canapés brought out to you in the lounge while you decide the menu. Perfect food, so much choice of seasonal food cooked perfectly. I had pigs cheek it was amazing and my husband had the lamb starter, perfect as well. Main course was also perfectly cooked and different. The staff are so good and helpful and make the dining experience special. We had a gorgeous view of lake windemere and had a great night.

Four of us dined here one lovely summer evening. We loved the view of the lake. The seabass was badly overcooked and was a meagre portion for a main course. It was no larger than a fish finger! It was cooked to the point of dryness and had no flavour. When I told the waiter this he told me he 'did not believe me '. Not the reply you would expect. At £22.00 it was dreadful value for money. In all fairness the other meals were good and the dessert was very good. We were not impressed when we ordered a bottle of water 'for the table ' when the waiter poured one person a third of a glass then took the bottle away leaving the other three diners without.

We stayed in the Beech Hill Hotel 2 nights over New Years and ate in the Burlington Restaurant on our first night. As a vegetarian you don’t often get many options in restaurants however they had a whole vegetarian menu! I am not used to having so much too choose from, very impressed! We had 2 courses each for £26.95. I had the risotto balls to start and vegetable and cheese crepe for my main (obviously the names were a lot fancier than that) My partner had a steak and was pleased this was included in the deal (usually a surcharge is added for steak) Overall it was a great experience, good quality food and excellent service. We will definitely be returning on our next stay! Thanks.

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
