Buffet della Stazione FFS

Simple food at the station. Tried the Risotto al Merlot del Ticino e Mascarpone; excellent taste, quick service and very friendly.

The pizza was good, tasty and very reasonable price. The environment was good and the service was also fast. the staff spoke several languages.

In the train station, this restaurant always fresh seafood, and unusal for Lugano, they have great Rosti (there are a lot of Germans and Swiss-Germans who take the train here)

I often have lunch at the Buffet della Stazione since it's near my job place. The pizza is good and so the rest of the proposed dishes. A good option for a lunch break or to have a bite while you wait your train.

This week I went to this restaurant for an Indian dinner, something available each year and to which I look forward. We ordered Bindaloo and Shami kabab. The prices have nor varied for several years.The meal was excellent. The service by the waiter (Stefano) was very appreciated.

You would be surprised like me how good the food is in this place.Inside a train station you would normally expect a low standard of food maybe some sandwiches but not much more, but here is a different story, we tried few dishes and all were very tasty and well made including pizza.Obviously the location is what it is, but what a nice surprise.

I have been in this place at least 3 times, always with my family. The first two times we ate a pizza, but last time, we choose some risotto, some meat, and some en other stuff that require more then a good pizzaiolo. We were all extremely happy with the quality of the food, and the good suggestions of the staff. The place is clean, good wireless and ( last but not least ) with a nice clean toilette.

This restaurant is located at the perched train station near the historical center of Lugano.We decided to go here as our train to Milan was delayed by 1 hour and shared the last piece of chocolate cake together with some red wine and a nice glass of draft beer.The comfortable place has enough to select from the menu incl. pizza and seafood at reasonable prices while the service is friendly and efficient.

Service was fast and ok. I ordered a quite simple pizza, and the lower part was mostly burnt. Being cancerigen, I throwed away more than half of the pizza. When highlighted the problem to the staff, no reaction back: no partial refund, no compensation, no free shot, simply nothing. Resuming, bad cuisine (at least bad pizza) and no customer oriented place. Definitely not recommented: better to eat in the train.
