"My family and I visited Hedingham Castle to finalize the arrangements for my daughter's wedding, and happened to see the tearoom as we drove through. Despite the cold weather causing steamed-up windows and a less-than-impressive exterior, we were pleasantly surprised by the charming interior of the tearoom. The old building is beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed the unexpectedly good coffee and traditional English menu. I had cheese on toast, while my wife had beans on toast - both simple and satisfying choices. The tearoom was busy, hence the steamed-up windows, as heating is limited due to the building being listed. There is also a cozy upstairs bar area that looked inviting. Castle Hedingham itself is a peaceful place with lovely architecture, and I will certainly make the journey back to enjoy another walk and meal at Buckley's. If you're used to mainstream coffee chains, Buckley's may provide a unique experience, but one that is definitely worth it. The staff were extremely friendly and parking was easy during our visit."

Lovely old fashioned tea room set in this lovely picturesque village. Very nice food and good service. They also sell some vintage/ antique type things at a very reasonable price. Also specialty leaf teas for sale to take away.

I just enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. The cakes were delicious, and I made a mental note to try the Adnams ale and cream tea on my next visit. The snack options were impressive, and though the main meal selection was limited, the dishes looked appetizing. The service was top-notch.

Our group meets every 3 months for a social lunch, and this time we decided to try Buckley's. We found the atmosphere to be nice and friendly, and there were 12 of us in total. The service was speedy and the food was excellent. I had the ham salad, which included cooked gammon in generous portions, served with salad, coleslaw, and hot new potatoes. For dessert, I enjoyed a delicious sticky toffee pudding.

My wife wanted to visit this tea room for an afternoon tea but union arrival we realised that the specialty here was their cream tea quite different and not what she was after. So we just had a cup of tea here. I can tell you that the service was very friendly, and the cream tea looked wonderful with cream, scones, fresh strawberries , and I suspect strawberry jam perfect for me but my wife just doesn’t like strawberries so we moved on.

Nice old tea room. It seems strange to call this since wearing is also very pretty. All landlords. Very delicious cakes and there are plenty of options. The building itself is very old, I don't know what date to put, Tudor looking and crooked! It's very rustic inside. They have an old brick for sale and brac increases the charm. The staff is charming and very friendly and welcoming. Your coffee is the best for miles around! (in my opinion). There is a charming atmosphere, you can spend a lot of time simply relaxing and enjoying the history and the environment. It is just a few minutes walk from the castle. It can be a bit complicated but definitely worth a walk if necessary. International vi...

"We came here on a last minute hunt to find a Sunday roast with family without much expectations. However when entering its a lovely set up and we were greeted by Lee and Alison who looked after us for the meal who just to begin were absolutely brilliant, they really care about the customers and make this place extra special. Now for the food you can get a 2 or 3 course meal so everybody made various selections but all had starters. Most went for the Aarancina which isn't your usual starter with a Sunday roast but for here it packs alot of flavour and is a great way to start the meal. They have a great selection of alcoholic beverages I went for a simple beer. For the main roasts we had a variety of meats I wanted the pork but sadly they had no crackling which was half the reason for ordering but if I am being honest after eating the meal it wasn't missed out the meat was tasty full of flavour but the sides were the key. The roast potatoes were of a top level usually when you eat out they are never as good as eating at home, the Yorkshire were huge and tasty, gravy brilliant with plenty to go around and lots of veg and cauliflower cheese on the side. Honestly this was excellent a really good roast probably the best I have ever ate in a resteraunt. Some of the others had the lamb shank which was huge and had great feedback but the beef was great and so was everything else. So yes check it out eat in and eat some great food in a nice setting with absolutely brilliant service you won't be disappointed."

"What can I say….We held our wedding dinner and impromptu party ! on the mezzanine floor and had the time of our lives with our nearest and dearest. It’s been a pretty special place for us as we dined at the House by Hilly Gant to check the area out before moving from London and so as we were having a small wedding of 22 people we felt this was the best place to have our wedding. Suzanne and the team could not have done anything more to make our afternoon and evening so perfect. The food was outstanding and our guests were very impressed Harry and his cocktail making skills are second to none. Huge shout out to all the kitchen staff who’s attention to detail and timings were spot on. Leading up to the day itself Suzanne took charge and offered her expert advice on how to dress the room and made so much effort with our requirements. 3 children and 1 baby as part of the guest list! . The beef in particular was spectacular and the chocolate fondant was sublime. We honestly didn’t want to leave. After dinner Suzanne was able to crank the music up and we had a little party ensuring all the guests downstairs were still well looked after our friends were actually dining downstairs and were able to join us towards the latter part of the evening! From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much to everyone for making it so special for us. I’m not surprised that you were recently awarded your second rosette, totally deserved. For anyone looking for quality food, locally sourced, and beautifully executed this is the place to come. SEE YOU SOON and thank you again x"
