Friendly staff, really fantastic food and a pleasant atmosphere. We sampled pizza night, burger night and steak night (we were staying nearby) and the food and service were consistently excellent.

I have to say the food and the service was of the highest quality. From the minute we walked in, we were given excellent customer service. The flat iron steak was delicious. I would not hesitate to come again

Disappointed with service, everything was poor with continual reminding to be served, even the pub entertainment was poor the evening fight only lasted a couple of minutes ! No apologies given, overall a bad experience. Voir le carte

Our welcome, service, the ambiance and food were all great. We were a group of six friends and without exception had a really nice evening. We went on pie night and they were all thought delicious. The pastry was amazing. Tuesday is burger night, Wed pie night, Thursday fish, Fri and Sat a la carte and Sunday roasts. I highly recommend a visit.

We suggested meeting our friends here and although parking was a problem we were not too late. The pub restaurant was packed and the noise made any conversation impossible. The service was slow and this could be blamed on the shortage of staff due to Covid. To be fair, I can't recall whether I enjoyed the food as I was finding the noise level almost unbearable. Have been meaning to try this place for a while. Initial impressions were a bit “meh” felt like a fairly standard pub with food. How wrong we were! Cooking is first class the oxtail fritters were very good and the duck pie and flat iron steak exemplary. Wine list was short but good quality and fair value. Service friendly. One minor criticism was that it was a little chilly would seem odd to have a fire on a May evening but this is England after all!

I know this pub is very popular and has a following with the dog friendly people of Barnes but we were very disappointed. The food was average, service absolutely terrible,we asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, no one asked us why, how can we improve things, maybe a complimentary drink? Total disinterest. It was a quiet evening so I can’t excuse the staff for maybe being too busy, they were just standing around. Then we witnessed a drunken punch up , spilling out from the garden into the pub. There are far better pubs in the area.

We had booked a table for four for Sunday lunch. We were welcomed by the friendly staff, but that was the last good thing about the visit. The first table that we were offered was in an alcove unsuitable for four people, but they were happy to move us to another. The room was very cold, we hoped it would warm up as more people arrived. It did not. We settled for a one course lunch, as it was too cold to be hanging around for long. The ribeye beef was extremely rare and fatty. Ok if that's how you like your meat. For some reason it was piled into a pasta bowl so you could not see what was there. In fact, there were more potatoes than anything, and although they had been in an oven, they were... Voir le carte
