"My family and me picked up a takeaway tonight on our way back home from Baldock at the British Raj in Royston. It was recommended on the Cambridge Curry Community and so wanted to give it a try when passing. I always try to give a fair and balanced review. I would definitely recommend the British Raj. The kids korma was outstanding, consistency and flavour amongst best I have tasted but personally I like heat! Unfortunately the Ceylon lacked a little in heat and for me needed more sour. The Patia was also a little oily, but otherwise very tasty with good heat. The oil though didn’t detract. The meat which was chicken in all dishes was superb and tender. The rice was the best I ever ate, the special rice was a real highlight for me. Incredible flavours and very light. The naan breads were tasty but a bit heavy, I would prefer them lighter and crispier. All in all I would return though and would certainly recommend this to others. The food was a solid 7.5 out of 10 for me. Some parts were a 9, but I have reviewed it as a whole. Really recommend though. For me it was consistent with the other restaurants I have tried in Royston. Bonus marks for the staff who were very friendly and I found out they can deliver to us which is great news! Prices were also very reasonable."

The food here is absolutely delicious, and they have a great variety of vegan options! For the service, I would rate it a 4, while the food deserves a perfect 5. The atmosphere is also pleasant, earning a score of 4. I highly recommend this place for vegetarians! Voir le carte

I am vegan and I was overwhelmed with their amazing huge vegan selection! They also do other dishes vegan on request, plus side dishes and everything is so clearly labelled! I placed an order that they “never received” and ended up losing my money. I waited 40 days for a callback that was supposed to take just half an hour. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The food wasn’t even that good. After being told to arrive in 20 minutes, I ended up waiting even longer—another 20 minutes after that. I've had issues every time I've visited.
