Brilliant restaurant!! Amazing food and amazing service! Dog friendly and loved all the attention from the bar staff. Will definitely be coming back regularly!

This is our local pub and go regularly at least once a week. Had a lovely Xmas meal here with the family. The food was excellent. I can highly recommend this place.

Went on recommendation but disappointed. Pricey sausage mash n peas £14.50 !! Sausages tasteless. Steak ok..Battered fish watery. Ketchup awful! Table half in bar half in empty restaurant felt lacking in atmosphere.

I highly recommend attending Steak night on Thursdays at this restaurant. For £40, you can enjoy two rump steaks and a house wine. You also have the option to upgrade the wine for an additional fee. The staff is courteous, attentive, and welcoming. I definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant - you won't be disappointed!

Lovely pub with a good atmosphere and very busy. Had one of the best Sunday lunches and fruit Crumble yesterday. They also do aperitifs at reasonable prices for ending the meals with. We have been to The Blue Lion a few times for the steak night and thoroughly enjoyed the food, so decided to have our daughters 40th birthday surprise with family and wasn't disappointed the food was delicious and considering 12 meals had to be served they were all piping hot. The staff were all also very friendly. Won't be long before we are back.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating our wedding anniversary at this lovely restaurant last night. I ordered the rump steak with all the extras and it exceeded my expectations - so tender, it practically melted in my mouth. My husband opted for the gammon with all the trimmings and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite being a Coeliac with gluten-free dietary needs, he was well taken care of and even got to enjoy some gluten-free onion rings. There were plenty of gluten-free options available. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

This pub is located in a charming spot and offers a delightful dining experience. We were brought here by friends who had visited multiple times before. As someone who is gluten-free and lactose intolerant, I was happy to find that they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I ordered the gluten-free fish and chips, and the batter was exceptional – light and flavorful. The cod was large and cooked to perfection, accompanied by mushy peas and well-cooked chips. The menu had several gluten-free options, a rare find in many pubs. On steak night, my husband and his friend enjoyed steak with a choice of sauce, which came with a complimentary bottle of red wine.
