"As if visiting this incredible city isn't enough, eating at Bistrovino is the cherry on top of this amazing coastal town. The food at Vinobistro is certainly of a high gourmet quality. The atmosphere reminds one of a rustic lodge in the woods. It is warm and cozy and decorated with antique looking candelabras and animal furs. The atmosphere pairs excellently with their colorful variety of surf and turf choices. The seafood we had was perfectly fresh as one would imagine since the town is physically touching the mediterranean). We got their lobster that is served cooked but chilled and sliced open producing the meat for an easy eat. We could easily tell it was caught that day, but it wasn't fishy, so had the perfect balance. There are also a few vegetarian options as well that are still hearty and filling. I got an amazing squash soup while my sister got roasted potatoes and eggplant, both perfectly smokey. While the food is incredible on it's own, the service is what ties the experience all together. The owner of the restaurant will most definitely be there to ask how all is going and translate for any english or french speakers who struggle with Spanish. He is a great conversationalist and very friendly. On top of the owner you will have your very own waiter showing you the menu and the daily specials, and then a personal wine specialist who considers wine pairing to be his passion. This was my family's favorite part of the meal as he showed us the most incredible wines and then liqueurs with our desserts. These are wines and liqueurs of a quality i have never experienced before in all my years of fine dining in America, or even Spain. seriously a treat that must be experienced. The first liqueur was a very thick wine that actually tasted sortof like chocolate which made it pair exceptionally with our mousse. The second one was this amazing ginger liqueur that was sweet AND savory and we ended up buying a bottle to bring home. Both of these liqueurs were really special because they were locally made and the manufacturer only made less than 500 bottles a year. The fact that this restaurant was able to get enough of it to share with it's customers AND sell by the bottle at request says a lot about them. The dinner of course was very expensive and should be saved for a special occasion. our bill came out to over 200$ But if you go during the off season around Christmas it won't be packed and you won't need a reservation. I recommend it higher than any restaurant in the town and dream of the day when I can return!"
