Big Fish Takeaway - Menu

Saturday tea time prime time cold dry fish n chips wasn’t what I wanted, I’m local but will definitely not be back.

We ordered approximately 50 meals to be delivered. All were excellent, on time, good value and such good service. Would recommend.

The staff are extremely rude and swear behind the counter. I left without ordering and food which is massively overpriced. Awful service. Never ever again.

the staff are slow and rude here and dont know how to listen to your order . Then theres the food edible but nothing speciel to greasy and very small portions for what you pay . Will not use again !

I was absolutely appalled with the service me and my mother received ay the big fish Newhall. The staff were very rude, unprofessional and made you feel very unwelcome. No service with a smile at all. The woman who served us couldn’t be more sour faced if she tried. To top it all off I asked for chips and curry sauce… instead I got chips and gravy. Would not recommend.

We have been going the Big Fish for years most weeks for chips and curry sauce, however the last 2 months, the quality of food has really gone down, the chips are oily and cold, the curry sauce has changed, I'm not sure if it's had a change of owner or staff or supplier? but tonight was the last time, we will be finding another chip shop, such a shame as it was a great chippy.

The Big Fish have fed us key workers in these troubling times. We had a phone call at 9.30 asking for our order at Newhall Post Office this morning. It brought tears to my eye's that thankfully people are finally appreciative of each other. I know we are not NHS but I've heard what else you have done for the community so ****** well done!!! Keep going you two and team you are stars x AYE UP DUCK!!!!

I visited some friends in Swadlincote and wanted to try out the local ‘chippy’ and visited here. The restaurant looked promising with a huge selection of food and a big array of hot counters. Having ordered cod, it was cooked fresh (very impressed) alongside chips and sides. The food was reasonably priced but didn’t burst with flavour. The batter on the fish was a little over cooked and the chips, curry sauce and mushy peas were a little plain too. I would give this takeaway a second chance though as thought cooking my fish order ‘fresh’ was a brilliant touch.

I'm not one to rant however, today i ordered from the Golden Fish in Newhall today and the chips were like concrete, they were cold, the sausages were like eating a pot of pepper, the delivery driver didn't attempt to ring the door bell and just left our food outside in the cold.. natrually we rang up to talk to someone that was in charge, to be told that we are lying, and all were are trying to do is complain to get free food and our money back... the customer service was disgusting and they put the phone down... my dad then went down with his plate or food to show that we were not lying and to see if there was something that could be done.... the manager then got the police on my father an...
