"This place must be one of the hidden gems of Wantage. This is one of the best full English breakfast we have ever had, everything tasted so delicious: homemade hashbrowns, eggs like the morning sun, crispy bacon, fried Mushrooms. Absolutely delicuous toast with grilled salmon smashed avocado. Great coffe and green tea (especially japanese tea). The owners always very friendly and made to feel very welcome suitable for everyone."

"This was my first time at this restaurant, and I had been wanting to try it for a while. However, I was shocked by the new management and owner. I was surprised to see the owner walking around without shoes, especially in a restaurant setting. When we arrived, we were seated at a table that had not been set up yet. It took 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken - just two cokes and an orange juice. It took another 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. After our drinks came, I placed our food order - two beef roasts and a bowl of chips, as they did not have a children's menu. We waited patiently for over 35 minutes for our food, and when we asked how much longer it would be, we were told it was on its way. After waiting for 50 minutes in total, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. It seemed like the new owners were inexperienced, and the staff seemed too old to handle the job - they couldn't even bend down to pick something up off the floor. No apologies were offered for the long wait. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant. In the end, we ended up at McDonald's instead."

"From the moment we arrived at the car park to the gardens and then into the restaurant itself, every detail had been carefully thought out. Even the toilet paper was neatly folded. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly. Our table was secluded but not isolated, and the drinks were served quickly by friendly and knowledgeable staff. We opted for the affordable set menu, which included a choice of starter, main, and dessert. The presentation of the food was stunning, and the taste did not disappoint. The rhubarb bavarois was particularly delicious and worth the price. Despite having dined at Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir, we found the food and overall experience at the Greyhound to be more enjoyable. We have already been recommending this restaurant to others and will most definitely be returning soon."

"This is a lovely café tucked away a little, approximately behind the Post Office Vaults. It is immaculately clean and new-feeling, although it is very popular, so clearly they are established here. The coffee is fab and the prawn mayo and avocado sandwich I had was delicious. The cheese, onion and tomato toastie my friend had was also very nice. The service was efficient and friendly. Also what a refreshing change it is to see dogs being allowed back into some cafés, such as this one. We will definitely be back when we visit Wantage again."

"My family and I stopped by the Buzz Cafe in Wantage for a quick pick-me-up after a 2.5 hour drive from the South Coast for a family funeral. We were greeted by a friendly and cheerful lady named Forces who made us feel very welcome despite the somber occasion. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and to top it off, the lady made a donation to the Royal British Legion, a charity that was dear to our family member's heart. She expressed that she wished it could have been more, but the gesture was truly touching and heartfelt. Thank you for your warmth and generosity. The Hickman Family."
