"How lucky we were to find venta oveja negra five years ago during our frequent visits to Andalusia! It is always a joy to return here and to know that every time the food is consistently superb, fresh and local the wine list is varied and there are great choices. also the menu is amazing and there is something for everyone: meats, poultry, seafood and vegetarian also the specials of the day are creative delights not to forget that there is a generous offering of house made postres. The staff is outstanding and the owner Vicente welcomes you with his warm and friendly manner. Service is attentive and super efficient no matter how busy the restaurant becomes. This is and has been since the first time, one of our top go to food destinations in the serrania de ronda area but remember you do need reservations !!!"

"Arrived here on a busy Sunday. It was pandemonium. Stood apparently invisible at the door while staff rushed around. Two other groups arrived to clog the doorway further, noise was unbearable. Finally was seated by owner outside as we had requested by our phone reservation. A bit quieter mercifully. I was all for going elsewhere after such a disorganised and frantic start. Glad we didn't.A charming and delightful server Estephania (sorry for any mispelling) brought calm to the table as she serenely took our order and attended to us smiling throughout. Our dishes of Duck and Pork were delicioius as was our wonderfully chilled beers which accompanied them. No views unfortunately, which would have been the icing on the cake, however, nevertheless still recommended, although perhaps not on a Sunday!"
