"Our experience at Lumbre was magical, definitely among our top ten dining experiences. In the tiny village of Casalareina, the restaurant is located in a historic building that has been modernized and beautifully renovated while preserving architectural details. Outside you can also look at the beautiful countryside and their thriving kitchen garden The 10 course tasting menu was an incredible gastronomic journey, each dish was an artistic and delicious present. Truly the chef is a creative genius with cuisine and it was delightful to visit the kitchen and meet him and his staff. We are savoring the meal even now looking at our photos of each dish and speculating how they were made Our service was friendly and informative and the sommelier guided us with an excellent wine selection. We met the charming owner as well All the team at Lumbre should be highly complimented. We just wish we could move them to our home town Atlanta!"

"Hemos vuelto después de los años de pandemia y no sigue igual, se superan. Es inconcebible que otros restaurantes tengan estrellas de una afamada guía y este pase desapercibido. Da igual, el local, la atención y el género atraen a un público que viene a degustar comida de verdad, será por eso que es asequible y no sale temblando la cartera. Hoy tocaba una degustación de aceites los cuales pude comprar al acabar y un chupito de gazpacho por gentileza de la casa, luego ensalada de centollo con tartar de aguacate, de segundo unas magníficas chuletillas a la brasa con pimientos y patatas, el postre un tiramisú extraordinario. Para nosotros es nuestro lugar de referencia en la Rioja Alta."

"fortress palace zarratón (the river) we ate on March 26. a place known in the haro area, with a great influx of the public. The menu was closed because they invited us. We started with hot snacks based on clay and vegetable pamphlets. We followed with some potatoes to the rioja that were frankly sosas and, for me, insipid, without grace. the lamb was the strong dish; the point varied a lot according to the size of the pieces that bore the clay source but the taste was good despite not being milky. dessert was a kind of cheesecake, rather creamy but very sweet for very drip. the wines were from the area. The bouquet of bilbao was rich. coffee, to be a restaurant (the risk is usually high), was very rich; it was like a pig. In the end, the owner showed us the decals at the bottom of the room. He wants to make them a dining room. a good guy with business vision. recommended but not passing."

Este restaurante es un caserón antiguo restaurado que presenta una carta de autor con un estilo personal en donde las nuevas tendencias culinarias y la cocina tradicional, intentan equilibrar la buena presentación con un mejor sabor, consiguiendo como resultado una excelente armonía entre ambos.
