We were with our group. It was all well prepared and we were received very friendly. The food came fast and simply tasted good. And what was new: The bear in Meersburg is even related to the Ottilienquelle in Randegg. That gives home feeling.

"It's hot. Even now at 19:00 the heat is brewing in the streets and walls. Here and there a gift from the lake. Cool comes the gentle breeze. A breath of air. Meersburg is burning! No, the whole region around Lake Constance is on fire. Where to look: cherry brandy, apple brandy, fruit brandy! What a fire! When deciding for Meersburg as a resort, I didn't know how dangerous it is here. At night, I take desperate attempts to prevent an area fire by posting wine and water bottle right next to my bed. But it always burns. Once the meat was too tough, then the supplement too fat, the Sauerrahm too powerful, despite all precautions, the fire breaks out again! In the evening we visit the Gutsschänke in the Oberstadt. Here it goes rustically. The hostess runs a strict regiment. She's put down where she's told. Well, what do you want her to do? People want to enjoy the extraordinary view of the lake on the terrace, which can measure with the view of the terrace hotel Weißhaar. Since the homo modernsis wants to have everything, but not to afford it, this is where it culminates: at reasonable prices, the most beautiful view of little space and extensive satisfaction of basic needs. The Gutsschänke works in its own direction, but is obliged to pour out the wines of the adjacent state winery. The style and shape of the well-being tend to represent the spirit of the old castle, which stands not far away high. Although it is not eaten out of a pot, otherwise it seems to be quite alive here to the Middle Ages. This is how the common people of the visitors in communion experience themselves according to the conditions of the landlord. Six people belong to a round table and “Freewoman of non-long flares” arranges for a short time and lets the lapels and lapels act ruckzuck. Before we have understood correctly, we are in communion with a young family from Australia with two small children. The family welcomes us kindly. The understanding succeeds in German and English. At the first moment we cannot believe it yet, but then it is clear: the leaf salad with tomato, some paprika and sheep cheese cubes has been dressed on a hot plate. What a fire in Meersburg! The Tagialta is a great performance. On dark green rocket background, flanked by glowing cherry tomatoes rest, the pink beef fillet discs. Between everything there are sparrows of the Parmesan. The meat has a touch of warmth, just why the rocket? It seems that he was given a hot plate to compensate for the very economical use of olive oil and rosemary. When I turn to the second slice of the beef fillet, where the animal clearly proves to be reproachable, our group of two is increased to the group of fours. The new arrivals from Speyer have hardly been orientated and took place, as the command for further regrouping is already made by “Freewoman of Non-Length Torches”. At the moment, the pair of Speyer saves its seats with a view of the lake during this action. Two smart men from Friedrichshafen, who are very familiar with landscape, lake and “Freewoman of Non-Length Torches”, prove the last places at the table. The Lord of the Gutsschänke is satisfied and takes up the next command. Knappe „Wischnixwieweg“ can directly pick up the orders, since in the meantime no further disciple of Beuys has settled here. Above the lake are hanging massive clouds, the heat burns up here in the walls. The air is standing. Zerberuz pushed the salad aside, the flame cake tastes. The speck cubes correspond to the bottom sea unit standard of 2.23 to 3mm. The relations between bacon, onion and vegetable cubes also seem to be correct, because Zerberuz does not complain. The last meat slices of Tagliata are quite fragrant and, with a mild judgment, they could also be called tender. Knappe „Wischnixwieweg“ hates back and forth with full and empty plates.
