"Went for dinner here recently. The restaurant is clean and looks good. Atmosphere is nice and tables well spaced. Staff were welcoming and accomodating, especially as we hadn't booked a table. Unfortunately it went seriously even dangerously wrong with the food... When ordering tapas we let the server know that I have an allergy. They provided their allery menu, showing which dishes are safe for various allergies (great! . So we ordered appropriately and repeated the allergy. When our food came out it looked good BUT we ourselves spotted that half the dishes had been covered in what Im allergic to. Fortunately I ate very little before we realised. This is really careless and potentially dangerous for allergy sufferers, as well as causing problems for those with intolerances enforced dietary restrictions. Fortunately my allergy doesn't cause anaphylaxis, so it wasn't life threatening in this case, but mistakes like this could have serious implications. They replaced the dishes plate cutlery and were apologetic, but honestly it was obvious that they didn't grasp how serious this sort of thing could be for others. There was no offer of a discount or a refund on our bill; not that I expect things for free, but maybe for a couple of the affected dishes as a gesture. I had to travel home via train afterwards whilst having an allergic reaction and it took about 24 hours to recover fully. Not fun. So I won't be returning here ever again because I just can't risk this happening. And obviously I cannot recommend to anyone with any allergies or dietary requirements. If you go here and any of your party have any such concerns, be seriously careful. This really isn't good enough in 2023."

Brilliant! Really great tapas, loads of veggie options, and a lovely buzzy atmosphere. Feels like being on holiday. My current favourite restaurant in Hitchin. Love it.

The food was incredible, everything was fresh, the portions were great, service was excellent and professional and the prices were normal, you can eat fresh and tasty food without paying a fortune. Loved it will definitely go back!

Always enjoy the food at the Azita bar. Very cozy, romantic Vibes perfect place for a date night. Had a good selection of tapas dishes that were either vegan, or can be adjusted vegan. Also had a jug of rosé sangria, that was delicious! I'm sure you'll come back.

Delightful restaurant, and having not been since it was Bar Meze, I had no idea of what to expect. Food was delicious, and the service excellent (had a minor issue with a non-vegan dessert, having ordered thr vegan option, but it was sorted quickly and efficiently). Also, the Paloma cocktail is amazing!

They offered a lunch menu for dinner in the main square. I have a £5 deal for Pitta 2 Mezzes (selection of 5/6). I have the hummus and an aubergine diver. Dips already labeled as vegan, but make sure that they know that you are vegan so that they don't put vegan glaze on your pitta. Four of us came here Saturday night for dinner. Nice place with good atmosphere and very attentive and friendly staff. We had a mixture of tapas dishes to start and as our mains, all cooked perfectly and very tasty. We had three jugs of sangria (best I've ever had), two cocktails and shared a couple of desserts, all of which came to just over £175 including service charge!! Fantastic value for money. When next in the area we'll definitely go back.

A charming bar with a wide and varied menu of Mediterranean food and drinks. I shared platters with my family and the food was very good, I would like to return to see what their non sharing options are like. Also anywhere that serves Baklava gets a thumbs up in my eyes. Service was quick and efficient, and they brought the bill quickly at the end of the meal no complaints. The setting of the bar is exquisite, however due to the high ceilings I struggled to hear anyone who wasn't sitting directly next or across from me, and my family struggled to hear each other. I would say go check it out! I recommend the swordfish on the Sea platter, and the Baklava!
